The problem with doing this is that you don’t play in a vacuum. The other team is doing their best to make you beat yourself. If you’re making stupid mistakes that you don’t make in practice, maybe the opposition in the game has a little to do with it.

What Coach does Butker, Waller and Mason have in common?

I don’t buy the whole “the score is not indicative of the talent between teams” mantra. Good teams hold onto the damn ball. I don’t care how athletic a player is, if he can’t hold onto the ball he’s no good to us. Same thing goes for coaches who can recruit lights out but can’t coach a lick.

In other words we have **** for depth.

Was it missed assignment or a missed read? If he stays wide, the qb is forced to give, right? Why not have him crash down, then have another guy take the qb like FSU was doing to us?

The pace wouldn’t matter one bit if they didn’t make first downs.

CPJ had Butker for much of his tenure. He also is responsible for bringing in Percy.

Mason is waaaaaaaaaaaaay more than just a bruiser. He has great balance, vision, timing, instincts, he can cut on a dime and accelerate out of cuts. Oh, and he is a bruiser, too. If he is out, he will be sorely missed, imo. Now the next man up may be just as good or better, we don't know...
