Recruiting is more than getting new guys, it’s also keeping them in the program so we can reep what’s sown. Especially now with the portal. You have to recruit the guys who are already here every year. Once they figure out they were sold empty promises, good luck with that.
This regime said from the get go we could recruit with the factories. They said they were going to return us to greatness. The reality is we can’t and returning to greatness is laughable, we’re not even mediocre.
The way I see it, if nonconference games don’t matter, that frees up teams to schedule very compelling matchups that the fans want to see. No more cupcakes.

Take our small alumni and cut it at least in half so you are only counting the ones that give a hang about football. Remember our Institute demographics?
He’d have to give up game management decisions as well. His mistakes from behind the sideline have cost us just as much as the players mistakes between the sidelines.(which are mostly due to poor coaching.)

“good season” is too vague. It means different things to different people. We need to win at least six games and go to a bowl in order to give him one more year. The following year needs to be better than that.
This is an opinion board, everyone is entitled to theirs. He’s not a Jacket anymore, plain and simple and it was his choice. I don’t wish him ill or well. I’m not a Bama fan unless they are playing the mutts. So I guess once a year I’m a Gibbs fan.
They make a big show all year about family and brotherhood and going to battle for your brothers. but at the end of the day it’s really all about “me.” I don’t mind that actually, just don’t pretend it’s otherwise.
