You do you bro. We need some unbridled optimism as counterbalance sometimes.

I'm excited about the new adidas deal, but let's hear the numbers and see the delivered product before naming babies and crowning the AD. As much as we all hated Russell they did pay us very well all factors considered. I am a huge homer but being realistic, Georgia Tech isn't the biggest fish...

Nobody is dumping UA stock because of any single teams apparel deal. There is tons of money to be made in the shoe game and UA whiffed on the one big name they have on their roster with those god awful Chef Currys. UA is a clothing company trying to break into the shoe game without a signature...

I think people are getting too hung up on who makes the best looking stuff. I absolutely could not care any less about that. Give me the company with the highest bid which it's rumored they were. I'm not expecting a UCLA deal but we have to be a top 3-4 brand in their stable now so I'm expecting...

Can anyone who is more knowledgeable tell me where the freshmen LBs project as far as Sam/Mike/Will? Some systems cross train the outside guys and see where the kid fits best but I don't know if that's something we do here.

It is impossible to know but I personally don't buy it. There are plenty of spread offenses that have really good defenses like Clemson, Auburn, Ohio State, TCU etc. and just as many pro-style teams like Vanderbilt, BC, Stanford, Michigan, Michigan State (until last year) that have good defenses...
  7. Who helped himself most in summer camp- besides Howard?

Word. I though he was converted over to defense when he got here because I knew he was an elite QB in high school. Either way, if he can learn to wrap up and refine the mental part of the game he has the physical ability to be a draft pick.
  8. Who helped himself most in summer camp- besides Howard?

AJ also needs to learn to wrap up instead of trying to just blow dudes up (although it is hilarious when he does). He didn't play defense in HS so he's still learning and it's a skill that is very teachable.
  9. Who helped himself most in summer camp- besides Howard?

This is huge because we now have a legitimate starting quality OT for depth (regardless of which of the two start) along with a legitimate guard in Shamire. I don't know how Scott(?) Morgan looked at center but if he can play decently then I feel really, really good about our OLine backups this...

It's great to hear that Freeman is healthy and has been working on his weaknesses, but I'm still going to be skeptical (or pessimistic depending on how you see it) about him producing. He's a 4 year starter and I'm of the opinion that by your 4th year you are what you are. I can't think of a lot...
  11. Fall Camp Thread

I feel like 90% of the questions asked and the info coaches are giving out revolve around the offense. I haven't been able to read/watch everything and I didn't watch the scrimmage so does anyone have a quick rundown about what we know over there? We're replacing 4 guys including our best...
  12. Current BBack Situation: What say you???

Nothing more to say. We have guys that can play BBack but our LB depth is baaaaad.
  13. Fall Camp Thread

I honestly hope he has known for a while and split the reps accordingly with the 1s and the whole controversy is a decoy. If 3 guys or 4 guys are seriously still splitting reps this week then we lost a good deal of practice time and we are not a good enough team to waste time like that. I've...

I'm about to get flamed for this, but: He was a liability as a passer the last two years. 2/7 vs. VT. He threw an INT against Vanderbilt. 4/8 and an INT vs. Miami two years ago. I just looked up his career stats and he's 1-2 TD-INT vs. P5 in very few snaps. Now, he worked out with Joe Ham this...

Do they tailgate in Philly? It better be early in the year because the last thing I want is to deal with snow and ice while tailgating at some off-campus NFL stadium. Also those other home-and-homes at least give us some exposure for recruiting in NO and Orlando. I'm pretty sure Philadelphia...

He was fine mechanically. We just had to limit the passing game because of his size. Roll him out, have him throw on the run etc. He was just too short to operate in the pocket and make every throw. Just my opinion on it.
  17. QB battle

You almost always are going to pick your poison with a QB in college. It's very rare that a kid is a perfect fit for what a coach wants to do so you have to try your best to mask the weaknesses. I just found it interesting that LJ is like the middle child of the group that you never hear about...
  18. QB battle

As someone who doesn't go to practice and didn't watch the scrimmage, Lucas Johnson is the biggest mystery to me in the race. I feel like I don't hear much about him from practice reports or the pressers. How has he been doing in general? If he plays (starter, backup, whatever) what is the...
  19. Fall Camp Thread

I don't know if I believe that tweet as far as it being wide open. If he hasn't picked his guy by now he knows we're wasting valuable practice time rotating 3-4 guys in with the 1s and Paul Johnson has been doing this too long to not know that. You don't go into the final week of summer without...

It's crazy how hard he dropped off after a really good true freshman year. I thought we'd for sure see him on Sundays, but now I honestly wouldn't be surprised to see him lose the starting job.
