There is no guarantee about Travis G coming back from surgery. The lack of Point guard development is what ultimately lead to hewitt's failure and will be the undoing of Gregory. We are at least 2 years from having a solid Point guard and Mbob isn't going to give gregory two more years.
I only know one person who is connected directly with the team. he told me that solo is gone. Don't know if that is absolute truth, but there seems to be some consensus from people connected with the program.
cheering for Tech is like Meth, crazy addictive but will kill you. I can't seem to stay away. The basketball team makes me want to gouge my eyes out with spoons sometimes. I think a change will have to be made after next year. I don't even want to think what next year's attendance will look like.
Everything you guys have posted has been what I have heard from people connected to the team. Gregory got a 1 year extension to recruit, look at our upcoming targets and they are very big fish, but also the extension won't hinder a buyout.
This is just horrible, I'm only in my mid 30's and grew up at the tail end of Cremins and the glory years of Hewitt. Now I have gone through the end of Hewitt and Gregory... I hope when I am old, I look back and call this the "Dark days" of GT basketball.
There is just no excuse for our team to...
I don't know what even to make of this, but since it involves GT football, thought I would leave it here. Stole this from another board.

So what have I missed? After our games vs Dayton and St. Johns I have stayed away from Tech basketball... I made the mistake of turning on the game vs Miami. I turned it off after about 3 minutes... Coach is in way over his head.
Couldn't agree with this more. The problem is fixable, but for some reason, there is a segment of Tech fans that simply want to disagree, trot out reasons to do nothing and sit back and stare at their degree.
Tech is a great, internationally renowned school, which has done a horrible job at...
do you work with students, because I do, with the students in Gwinnett, which is what this thread was about. I can say with absolute certainly this is true and was shocking to me when I moved here from out of state. The reputation of TEch is far superior outside the boarders of Georgia than...
You nailed it. I work with students over in Gwinnett and this is probably the number 1 issue. Tech people don't want to hear this but the academic reputation of UGA is growing, I see many smart students choose UGA over Tech because they think they are not that far off in academic reputation...
Superior education? Really... we are number 36 in US New college rankings which is very good. You can cry and moan about how biased those rankings are, but we are behind.
1) Stanford
2) Duke
3) Southern Cal
4) Northwestern
5) Vanderbilt
6) Notre Dame
7) UCLA
8) Virginia
9) Wake Forest
10)...
this is not even close to being what I was referring too. Coach Johnson was the one who recruited Lee, and it didn't work out. It falls on him. Also our BEST win of the year was against DUKE, doing what... Running out of the diamond and throwing for touchdowns using the skill set of Vad Lee...
I don't understand why people keep defending our base offense. Great coaches Adapt the offense to fit the skill set of their players period.
Look at what John Fox did at Denver when Tebow was the quarterback and now with Peyton Manning. His offensive scheme changed. how much more should a...
CPJ's record stands on its own. People are going to spin it either way. I just don't buy the arguments of the people who love the guy. I support the program not the individual and will cheer GT every time I get the opportunity but I agree with daBuzz, ATL1 and many others.
It is exactly what I...
My first thought as well. AW was always a guy who I pulled for and I hoped he would have a breakout year. I hope this young man gets his life settled with whatever just happened.
well after listening to it twice. I am convinced there will be changes in our future. he seems to be a guy who understands the culture outside of Tech and can see the limitations that we are currently working with.
I am even more inclined to think the erroneous tweet by Feldman was actually...
