    Why Have Refs?

Right, and lack of malice doesn't suggest that there isn't bias. We all see what we want to see, and I do believe in the Michael Jordan effect (where stars are 'supposed' to be really good, so when a ref sees something that could have been a foul...say palming the ball...by the star they assume...

    Why Have Refs?

I don't think they have it in for us. Hanlon's Razor: "Never attribute to malice that which is adequately explained by stupidity."

    That was a horrible broadcast

And why can't any announcers be bothered to know anything about our offense? Everything is the TO. The Zone Option is called a QB Follow because they look a tiny bit alike. They don't even seem to know about the mid-line. I mean, it's their job...a little effort, please?

    Marshall to start versus UNC...

I hope he keeps us all guessing and have confidence in both young men. I don't get media types who think they have some right to know who is going to start. Pfft, they should go back to 'study' journalism again. :)

    Louisville Post Game

I was thinking about that. Is there some reason we don't trigger the snap off of their shift from time to time? If one out of four times the call is "snap on their shift", wouldn't it catch them on their heals and out of position? Is it just too hard to time the snap that way? Even if you only...

I love the beer names! Unfortunately, our marketing gurus probably won't. :( The brewers always have funny names for the beers that never make the cans and kegs. Cadence, our Belgian "Dubble-style" beer was originally called "Dubble-wide". I'd change "Chop Block" to "cHop Block", however :D...

    USF fan in Woodstock

Welcome to Woodstock! You should stop by the Reformation Brewery and say Hi. The new downtown R&D Brewery and Tasting Room opens this Friday, DOR-willing. Most of the owners are Tech grads/fans, and we've been known to host the occasional (quiet) viewing party. The Morgan family came to our...

Great Article from Ken (implicit hammering of Ole Miss/NCAA)

I think they are out to protect themselves and themselves alone. Where that outcome happens to coincide with the good of their member schools, then great. Where it happens to be good for the athlete they'll call the PR team to talk about it. But, like all organisms (and hence organizations) they...

    We Can't Have Nice Things

Sorry, I must have pasted in the wrong thing. It's just a link to a very popular (and safe) Chrome extension that keeps client-side java scripts from running unless you want them to. Sometimes sites use scripts do things like put up annoying popups or otherwise get in the way of your browsing...

    Missed assignments

Couldn't you counter the pre-snap shift by simply triggering some snaps off of their shift? If you snapped the ball while they were shifting you'd blow them back into tomorrow and quickly teach them to that there is a price to pay (in knees) of that BS.

REPOSTED from STINGTALK: Paul Johnson as GT coach

My four years were: 1 - 10 6 - 5 3 - 8 6 - 4 - 1 One of those 10 losses included Hershal running past the Rat section leaving defenders scattered in his wake. I was in the front row and can still see it clearly in my mind. Trust me, we got it good, now.
