FSU got shafted because the committee could get away with it. They couldn’t get away with shafting Bama.
There is little transparency and few clear rules. They have bent the rules in the past.
If the ACC doesn’t get their act together now, I’m not sure when they will.
They have time to right the ship, and we have other shots at quality wins.
We won’t be high when NET rankings come out. All three losses hurt our ratings a lot. It’s more important for us to build an identity through the season (but you know that)
Just posted this in another thread
It looks like a mess. From what I can tell, GT and Duke aren’t being fought over, so we’re getting one of the bottom two bowls.
Aside from CLT, they’re the closest for us, though.
There were two southern destinations in reach for us—Birmingham and Gasparilla. Duke is going to Gasparilla.
(I think VT is getting the Mayo bowl, but nothing is announced yet)

If it’s hard to get your #2 team aligned to a bowl, everything else is going to be a mess.
(BTW, I think we should sue the CFP for the share of revenue we should have gotten).
FSU got the Orange Bowl.
Louisville isn’t anywhere. Two of...
It’s a good matchup developmentally. Troy’s defense is top 20. Our offense is mid-30’s.
Their offense is mediocre, but better than our defense. We need to bring our best game.
Agree. The ACC has conference bowl tie-ins. Aside from having a bunch of UNC and Duke lawyers ready to sue, what plan should they have in place?
The ACC has some part—they can lobby the bowls they’re aligned with—but that’s it.
For some reason, the committee’s logic favors Alabama. This is the second time that other teams would have been out based on tiebreakers that Alabama was included.
Reading Joe Burrow’s story at LSU, he took online courses and did the bare minimum to get credits—he was only taking and doing the bare minimum to be eligible. He didn’t meet another student outside of the athletic program until after he got drafted, because he wanted to see what LSU was.
