    Miami Schadenfreude

Yeah, I heard the dufus say that. When announcers say that they should first apologize for being so biased, then quit for being so wrong. Someone with better twitter skills than me should make a meme out of that statement. We should try to get CGC to respond to it on Monday (he won't say...

    All the way from Montana

I put the Ga Aquarium in my "must do" category for a visit to Atlanta. If you like beer variety, then the Brick Store Pub in Decatur (East Metro) is a pilgrimage that's worth the trip for the Belgian Bar upstairs. And I see you have Antico on the list already...good call.

Georgia Tech vs. Temple Predictions #GTvsTEM

I think the team responds to the let-down two weeks ago. I really do think they overlooked the Citadel, being used to the system doing half the work, and will respond big as a result. I still think we only win by 7 or so due to the OL issues.

    All the way from Montana

I'm flying to Kalispell this Sunday and will spend a week in Libby. What's up with the 16" of snow in September!?! I'm going to freeeeze by Jackets off :) Anyway, send me a PM and my wife and I can treat you and the misses to a tour and brew at a local craft brewery I'm associated with.

No Huddle > Killing Play Clock

I hate to watch Prairie Dog offenses. If you are going to run no-huddle, at least have the cojones to run up-tempo. If those long delays are the result of the defense being prepared for our offensive play, then we need to get a randomizer instead of an OC calling the plays. It seems like most LJ...

Temple Fans view of Collins and Patenaude

I'm not a fan yet, but c'mon guys. Think about this logically: three games in (one against defending NC) with a new offense with walk-ons on the line due to injury. Losing to an FCS team sucked, but that was all on Collins for the lack of player discipline. I'm all for knee-jerk over-reactions...

    GT needed a change

It's always an experiment, right? I mean, we fool ourselves when we think otherwise, that's things are certain I mean. Who knows about tomorrow? So, yeah, it is always an experiment. Here's to going big and being willing to go out with a bang (said by a Chem E, who always love the bang! :D )

    GT needed a change

Okay, I've had my first one. :) I was (am) a CPJ fan. I am a CGC fan. I just don't see those things as mutually exclusive. I will say about both of them, just like I say about every leader in my organization, their strengths are their weaknesses. Wisdom holds that all coins have two sides...

    Alcohol Sales

Awesome! We're all* pretty friendly in the craft-beer business in the ATL, so tell him to reach out if he likes. We should lobby for better representation. I was going to be in the Chem E Dean's suite opening weekend and was going to make a point to press the new Prez on that point, but a family...

    GT needed a change

I just read this whole thread. I need a beer. Maybe two.

Culture Built On Effort vs Technique and Execution

I agree. I don't think that the two are mutually exclusive. But while great effort in practice might be necessary to be a champion, it definitely isn't sufficient. I think CGC's belief is to get the attitude and culture right no matter the cost in the first year or two of the program and build...

    Alcohol Sales

Nah, but brewing is 90% Biomedical Engineering...I'm sure we can figure it out. There are (at least) two craft breweries in Atlanta that were founded and owned by Tech alums & fans. I know four of the six Reformation Brewery founders are at most home games (two of us are alums, the other two...

    The Citadel Postgame

I'm not sure it has been mentioned yet, but that was some seriously bad coaching there. I'm pretty surprised, but if you were there it was pretty clear. Not prepared, not disciplined, not organized. That's all on the coaching staff.

Culture Built On Effort vs Technique and Execution

I agree, and it has caused me to be a little concerned with the approach. We call people who work really, really hard, say all the right stuff all the time, but don't ever make an actual business impact "Boardroom Geniuses". I mean, you need some people who grind it out and produce average but...

Something positive (not Football) for the Minihan Family (Link)

He should let the Citadel know that he won't be picking up any officers from there is they beat his kid's team! ;)

    UNC tickets

I have two in lower-west at the 45. Availability depends on game time as I'm flying back that afternoon from Montana. If it is an 8:00 start then they are not available, otherwise I'll be looking to sell them. But I'm waiting until they announce a game time.
