Josh recently made the US Under 19 team. Here's a brief writeup from DraftExpress about him.
Undersized for a wing but with that length he'll be able to still potentially be a high pick in the NBA.
Now this is funny!!! Outrecruited by a school that most of us can't pronounce. And then forced to put a spin on it because his rep as a recruiter has been looking that bad.
McCall just took the UMass job which Kelsey took and changed his mind on last week. And Kelsey may owe UMass a buyout because he apparently signed the contract before reneging.
They made a Final Four with JTIII as coach. Things have gone downhill since then but that's still more than many coaches accomplish and even with these last seasons he still won 64% of his games at the school with 3 Big East Titles.
Other than Iverson whose situation was screwed up who did...
Did Mullin have any coaching experience prior to taking the St. John's job? Ewing has been an NBA assistant for the better part of a decade. And Iowa St did pretty well in hiring Fred Hoilberg who had front office experience but no coaching experience when they hired him.
Also I have to give credit to Josh Heath. Belmont started to make a run and he dived and got a loose ball on a possession and then followed it up by getting a turnover that led to another easy basket.
After this season it was great to see these young men get the ovations as they came off of the...
I agree with the sentiments regarding fire. Seeing Pastnee actually get on players and officials when it makes sense is refreshing. Today with the team up 15 and with a minute left in the game he's still exploding because of a missed assignment that led to a wide open 3.
The other thing is...
Why in the hell did I think that he was on that team?
Considering what happened at his first school Notre Dame it may not have gone well if he had originally chosen Tech.
He was on the team that played in the Final Four against Tech. He was good for a guy who couldn't shoot at all. Quite the comeback from how his college career had started.
He took the job for that so he must have been ok with it and the prospect of a potential raise in the future since they have donors with huge pockets. I would have never guessed that he'd be taking the Illinois job.
Apparently there are some rule changes for the NIT including the lack of one and one free throws. Fouls will also be reset halfway thru the half and when the ball is inbounded in the front court the shot clock will be reset to 20 seconds instead of 30.
#2 is the complete opposite of this team the 5 years prior when we'd go into the half looking alright and see that there weren't any adjustments made during halftime.
No. And considering my luck in betting it's good for Tech that I didn't. I did put $10 on another team that had 50-1 odds at the time. They're currently ranked in the Top 10. We'll see if they choke in the tourney.
Last July I was in Vegas and for some reason they had Tech listed on the board of odds for winning the tournament. It was 250-1 and I thought to myself why in the hell would they be listed. They'd be lucky to win 2 games in the ACC let alone make the tourney. I've been enthusiastic as the season...
Early on Tech killed them on the boards. At one point they 9 total rebounds and Tech had 20 including 8 offensive rebounds. They closed the gap as the game continued.
I did love how they were prepared for the zone. Forcing them out of it quickly each time was a big plus.
It was good to see...
He's had a hell of a season. That said he's just getting on the NBA radar and it's a loaded freshman class that's likely to come out. So with that he should stay.
