They might win one that way. You are right.
The biggest gap is the difference in college basketball quality from 1990 to 2004, especially in top conferences. There is no way Dennis Scott plays a third year in 2004.
This is utter nonsense and self-important blather. Our fans aren't showing up. That is their only failing. Fan expectations are irrelevant to anything.
Johnny McNeil. Karl Brown played about the same number of minutes. Karl Brown was one of the best perimeter defenders I have ever seen. He wasn't a scorer but he was perfect for that team. They didn't need another scorer.
Gregory's last team had one player who was not a senior play 50% of the time. That was Stephens at 50.2%.
He left a team with very little experience. Pastner and his coaches deserve a lot of credit for their coaching job that year. If those guys tried to run Gregory's terrible offense they...
We were clearly the second best team at the end of the year in 1990 and college basketball was better then. 2004 was a great defensive team. Lethal Weapon 3 was not a team anyone could shut down.
I am pretty sure the vast majority of GT "fans" complaining about the basketball program don't watch the games. Last year was terrible but we are only one year removed from our first ACC championship since 1993 and back to back winning records in the conference. His seat is not hot.
The team showed some character today. It was really easy to hang their heads after losing the lead but they turned it around.
I really like the guys on this team. It is a hard team to watch at times but I really like the players. Let's make a run in the tournament.
That was the most fun I've had at a GT basketball game this season. GT used screens and motion to get the offense going instead of the stagnant modified Princeton for the most part. It was good to see the young guys getting minutes and playing well.
I find this team hard to watch. I like watching how hard Usher plays but the offense is frequently stagnant and there doesn't seem to be much hope it will improve this year.
I haven't been commenting much since I have missed about half of the games and made no effort to watch a replay.
This team is very difficult to watch for many reasons. I have no idea why we think we need to run that high post offense. We aren't good at it, it has to frustrate the players, and we consistently have our least-talented ball handlers handle the ball.
GT fans have a strange obsession with inherited players. It is the new coach's job to work with the entire team. Paul Johnson and Pastner got more out of the same guys than their predecessors. That is a positive, obviously. That some think that is somehow a knock on them is bizarre.
The changes seem to help. We don't do it much though. Let's scrap the modified Princeton completely. We have different personnel that does not fit that scheme.
Ben Lammers isn't walking through that door.
As YlJacket mentioned, the horns look may be a better fit. You can have the same type of...
I understand that you play to win the game. If we didn't manage to tie it up late there would be people losing their minds on here.
We need to run an offense our players can play. Enough of the big man in the high post with guys who can't pass. It isn't going to get better.
Enough of the...
