I'm watching the Cincinnati /Temple game from this year, and watched a couple of highlight packages.
In my limited exposure, if we try to run Temple's offense, without top 25 level recruits, we will be lucky to win two conference games a year.

I think that the best thing to do for the program would be to hire Coach Mac as Assistant Head Coach in charge of recruiting; and, then give him enough assistant to do a real job of national recruiting (six? a dozen?)
This would be a massive upgrade to the program regardless of who the new Head...
I think it is one of those apocryphal quotes that is attributed to just about every historically famous coach. Sort of like, "Three things can happen when you throw a pass, and two of them are bad."
