To be clear, I think it's dumb that the revenue distribution is unequal. All P4 should get equal payouts.
That said, if we're going to base payouts on past CFP performance and predicted future performance, how is the ACC roughly equal to the Big XII? The Big XII's flagship football program next...
That anonymous coach he mentions has to be Justin Fuente or Bud Foster. Beat VT 3 years in a row from 2016-2018, then they bagel us 45-0 in Atlanta in 2019
Yep. Miami and VT falling from their perch as perennial top-10 teams in the 2000s is what hurt the ACC the most. For youngins like me it’s easy to forget that Miami played in 6 straight major bowl games from 2000-2005 (if you count the Peach Bowls), including 2 Nattys — they have played in 1...
I like the sentiment. My vote would be we play UGA every year and rotate through the other 3 (preferably in 2 for 1’s, I don’t like the buy games as we’ve gotten burned and lost in too many of them). Round out the non-conf schedule with 2 “exciting” games vs P4 opponents or intriguing G5s. FCS...
I may be in the minority but as someone still living in Atlanta I love the Thursday night game. Wife’s birthday is the next day, so that’s the perfect excuse to take Friday off and enjoy a long weekend basking in the W
Random thought, but I realized today that with an early Labor Day in 2024 (September 2nd), there will be 14 Saturdays between the first full CFB Saturday (August 31st) and Thanksgiving rivalry weekend (Nov 30th). Since we play Week 0 in Dublin, that means we will have THREE bye weeks next year...
Pretty much every outlet is projecting BC to stay home for the Fenway Bowl. VT also played in the Pinstripe Bowl in 2021 so unlikely they get sent back there so soon. Duke is our best hope to take the Pinstripe instead -- haven't played there since 2015 and have tons of alumni in the NYC area...
Here’s the list of all the ABC Saturday Night Football games this year as a point of comparison. Impressive we beat out ND twice, as well as two ranked matchups for #5 Washington. If you include the ESPN Saturday night game as well, we also beat some big time SEC matchups like Week 3...
All the insiders are saying Notre Dame. I guess he followed a bunch of their players on Twitter recently. He also entered the portal with a “No contact” tag so he knows where he’s going already

Riley Leonard officially entering the transfer portal today. Rumors saying he’s a near lock to go to Notre Dame, so looks like we’ll likely be facing him next year anyways.
Fair enough. Helps that the Gasparilla Bowl is in Raymond James Stadium now. Shows how much I’ve paid attention to that bowl the past 5 years, I still thought it was in the Trop but that hasn’t been the case since 2017!
I really gotta think that coachless Duke or Syracuse will be the ones to drop to the Tier 2 bowl and we’ll get the Pinstripe at a minimum. Then again, we’ve been shafted in this situation before (hello Quick Lane Bowl)
