Before thew game, a u "fan" came out in front of the band, dancing and putting up the u hand sign..............a older lady tried to get him to step back in the crowd..............he ignored her and...........about 30 seconds later a young man came out the crowd............and at a dead run nailed the u "fan" with a picture perfect tackle, knocking him his arse and senseless. The crowd security folks came out to make sure nothing else happened. The u "fan" couldn't get his arse up for a few minutes, the young man that drilled him went back into the crowd and when the u "fan' could finally get up he was escorted out of the area by Atlanta's finest. At that point I KNEW it would going to be great night!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have never had a problem with people I happen to know who are U alumni. It is the "slumni" hangers on.

At a bar before the game I was talking to a U alum -nice guy / educated / and successful - and he stated that um has done several studies over the years to find out more about those attending their games. He stated to me ( and I have no way of knowing if true or not) that, beyond local regs that could very easily be overcome, that one big reason Coral Gables does not allow um to build an on campus stadium is because they do not want certain elements coming in by the thousands for games. IDK

I think it is fine - home or away - to cheer for your team, but when you think that gives you the right to curse out and get in the face of people you don't even know who have not said anything to you there must be a line drawn.

Their slumni are degenerates or skanks. Think of the sleaziest place in Atlanta, that's where they went.

Sincerely,

Someone who's lived in South Florida.

I had a Miami fan sitting next to me in the West stands, right behind the Tech bench (whoever the Tech season ticket holder is that keeps scalping their tickets to these people needs to get their finger nails pulled out), and he (along with several other "Cane fans) sprinkled around us were pretty obnoxious early on, especially after they scored and their damn flag carrier ran in the end zone waving his hand at OUR fans, basically saying "screw U".

I told him that it was a damn good thing GA Tech fans were Civil (like Engineers) rather than like those at UGA or Notre Dame because if they weren't he would be getting pelted from the stands...

In the upper North there I saw 2 or 3 flare ups that could have gotten out of hand. One the dude's girlfriend talked him down about 30 seconds before he was about to get clocked by 2-3 Tech fans.

Had a very "heated" exchange next to me in the club section as well. A GT fan put that Miami fan in his place very quickly after the pass interference call went our way. He was quiet much of the game after that. I think mostly out of fear he was in enemy territory and that his "jersey shore" haircut wasn't that intimidating. He left with his tail between his legs; along with his "buddy" after the 4th down touchdown

After the first TD Miami scored, a U fan chanted "Go C-A-E-N-S" hahahaha spelling must not be his strong point.

I didn't get there in time for the Yellow Jacket Alley festivities. But my daughter was there and saw the whole thing. She was so happy that the Tech fan nailed this idiot.
