ATHENS, Ga. (AP) — There's no need for any extra motivation when Georgia faces Georgia Tech.

These teams just don't like each other.

"It's a game you think about all year long," Georgia coach Mark Richt said Tuesday.

Yet, in a change from previous meetings, there's a lot more on the line than merely state bragging rights.

So ... Georgia may get in if Mizzou loses and if they beat Tech? How about approaching Tech's chances if the Jackets beat, in succession, ranked Clemson, ranked Georgia and No. 1-ranked FSU?

If Missouri loses to Arkansas on Friday, then Georgia wins the SEC East automatically. This would mean the SEC East champs vs. the ACC Coastal champs besides our normal "bragging rights".

Oregon and Oregon State get 8 on ABC....explain that one
There aren't many options for the 8pm ABC game. GT and UGA are in Athens this year so the game can't be on ABC. Neither can the Egg Bowl, or the Iron Bowl. Ohio St/Mich is almost always on at noon on ABC. Fox chose the ND/USC game for their 3:30 time slot and that leaves what for 8:00 on ABC? You could have possibly put the Florida St/Florida game or the SC/Clemson game on in that time slot but would that really be much better? Plus they would be going head to head with the Iron Bowl.
