I believe we need to bear in mind that our O essentially led us to 20 points against a very good D with our backup QB, and the RB and TE positions badly dinged up. Meanwhile, our D held their O to 24 points.
The game got away from us in the 4th due to botching FG’s and the pick-6. Clean that (ST) up and reestablish the run and we’ll be OK going forward.
I think we will be back to running well and hitting intermediate passss as a key part of offense.
Gt needs to have VERY GOOD ST the rest of the way.
ST is now on Key to fix.
No more acting supprised. ST Its been bad for all of TFP when Key was ast head coach.
Background content for blocked kick
I knew and tailgated w the Wells family ( Wesly never missed a field goal inside the 40, only missed a few longer than 45, went 4 for 4 to beat Miami with clutch end of game kick, Was never blocked) Wes kicks were
HIGH AT LOS, HIGH AT LOS, HIGH AT LOS with
LOTS OF ROTATION so it was straight that let him be clutch from EITHER HASH.
sobplays weren't limited) TFP changed go in search of grest and we got crap .
Been watching Birr and he seemed to kick high enough , straight and long.
Watching the warm up at ND from row 23 at 40 with Birr on left hash, I saw Birr practicing - - 3 from 58 yds that were straight and long. ""BUT the kicks were very low at LOS."" .
No one was checking.
Good coaching?
Why was no one checking?
hieght at LOS?
