Who is supposed to make the block?

On the counter option play at 0:16 in the video above, who is supposed to block the safety? I don't see anybody even trying.

Same question on the triple option play at 0:29. Why is the safety unblocked? What is going here?

Could be wrong but it looks like a bad read. DE was the one that forced the pitch, and I don't think the DE is usually the pitch read. Isn't he usually the dive read?

I don't know on the counter option but JT pitched off the dive read on the play at 0:29. That is why the a back was crushed unless I'm missing something.

Interesting. But based on Skov's direction, he doesn't seem to be heading towards the DE. I'm a bit confused honestly.
