Kicked out of section 214 for standing and cheering. We refused to sit down. Just snuck into student section. Please talk me into renewing again next year…:

Yup. Sat there in the 09 season with my mom. I was like 17. Full of energy and almost every game people told me to sit down.

I had to make everyone stand up to cheer during VT. It was like making them do something they did not want to do 😂

Realize that it's not all about you. Others have the right to enjoy the game too. Standing the whole time isn't your right. Find an area that stand and join them.

I honestly believe there should be specific areas designated as standing only. There's a way EVERYONE should be able to enjoy their BDS experience.

(this is not a criticism for you wanting to stand)

Yep. Literally because I wouldn’t sit down.

We go to every game. Bring my kid to most games. Hard to be excited going forward

north end zone. Happened with 3 to 4 min left in 1st half. Security told us we have to leave for standing up.

We stood and cheered during defensive 3rd downs and after big offensive plays. We will not apologize for standing during a football game. Maybe we are just 3 less sidewalk fans that Tech just doesn’t need anymore?? My Dad has been going to games since the 60s and I have been going since the late 90s.

That sucks, but I’m not at all surprised that people told you to sit down. In fact, that’s almost a guarantee at a tech game. I am a little surprised that security made you leave.

This isn’t helpful for someone who just got booted. Standing the whole time literally is his right. It’s a football game, not a kindergarten graduation. Do you come to BDS often?

We sit in 109 and stand for the majority of the game, like everyone around us. Nobody should be shamed for that.

When I was younger, I had your fervor. So no dogging on that.
But with age comes aches and pains, creaks in the knees, back, etc... you'll see one day😅
If the entire section is a "sitting" section, then my ask is to be mindful of the surroundings and do similarly. There are standing sections in the stadium.
In the years after I graduated, I was always getting seats in 123 and 124. Recent grads in the 20s, some in 30s, mostly standing the whole time😉

I don’t know that I’ve ever seen a more discouraging message from one fan to another. Based on your previous posts, I know you don’t come to games religiously for the past decades like some of us do, if at all, which is fine if you live in Illinois or wherever you call home. But please don’t shame people that actually come to the games for trying to make BDS a loud environment. We need more people like that. Not trying to be rude, but I wouldn’t want you in my section.
