If anyone needed proof that the Deep State and the money trough that exists in DC corrupts absolutely, Scarborough and Kasich should be exhibits #1 and #2.....and Clinton and Biden should be exhibits #3 and #4!

Typical ignorant leftist remark. He has PROOF that he was not involved with Epstein. Unlike the Clintons and many others on the left who regularly visited Epstein's "pleasure island". Notice how quiet all those pervs are about it? Derschowitz is one of the most respected names in constitutional law. You seem to be one of the most ignorant names in just about everything.

Typical politician hitching his wagon to a cause for personal gain rather than true conviction.

I’m not certain you have to order correct but your point still stands.

    Interesting article.

Here’s a couple thoughts along with some possible counter arguments:

    A. Congress, one of 3 arms of our government, has the power to impeach. Why doesn’t the President have the ability to throw treasonous imbeciles out of Congress or off the Supreme Court? Same for the Supreme Court, why shouldn’t they just be able to vote for example “Hey Schiff, you’re a lying scumbag, out you go?”

    B. The article states the Maniac “broadcast suspicions about the CIA, FBI, etc”. They aren’t suspicions, they’re facts. Shouldn’t someone be holding those people accountable? We regularly jail junior people for much lesser crimes than the serious/ egregious ones out in public by the ruling elite in the government.

I’m for getting this on the table. Libs need to move to impeach instead of this “less than strictly Constitutional” process they’re employing. Let’s get the facts on the table & let public opinion vote. My money’s on they will do nothing of the sort because they won’t be able to stomach the proceeding when the other side is allowed to have access to the information. It’s way too damaging.

There is no constitutional process for impeachment, there is merely prior precedent. Which may not be a legal requirement.

I am all for getting all the facts out. The Dems are not and will not. Any impeachment will be limited to Trump's perceived transgressions.

It is bad for America. But since the Dems think it will be good for them politically, they don't care.

So where did our Founding Fathers go wrong? What is your solution as to how our Constitution should be rewritten?

I think it’s fine. We elect our President at the ballot box. If a bunch of people think a guy is a jerk and an *******, then don’t vote for him. If the President does something illegal and Congress thinks it’s bad enough to not wait for the next election, then vote to impeach him. Very simple.

There are supposedly checks and balance by which one branch of government can hold another branch in rein, but that seems only to apply to congress in relation to the president. Where are the checks and balances on congress and on the courts? Both of them seem to be able to do whatever they damn well please with nobody holding them in rein.

Congress can impeach judges. The electorate can vote out Congress. The President has wide latitude on executive orders and the bully pulpit. Nothing is perfect.

I just don't think congress should only be held accountable to the voting public. If you're going to use that logic, then why not leave the office of president only accountable to the voting public too? A President can issue executive orders, but they are not sacrosanct. Activist judges can stop them, and congress can refuse to enact them with or without the courts. Congress might be able to impeach judges, but that is something they seldom do, because of POLITICAL reasons, with one side supporting the activism of the judge in question, and the other side opposing the activism, regardless of any actual impropriety or illegal action by said judge. Obviously, as we are seeing today, impeaching the President has become (if it was not always the case) of being purely political. Especially regarding this current attempt to impeach Trump, it has become totally political in nature, with precedence and House rules being ignored or thrown out the window by bums like Adam Schiff and Jerry Nadler, who refuse to let Republicans call any witnesses of their own, or for those whom they subpoena not being allowed to have legal council present in the SECRET hearings. Somebody other than the voting public needs to hold them responsible and put an end to their denial of the constitutional right of due process. But has anyone stepped forward to do so? NOPE !!!

If a particular Congressman does something egregious, they can be censured, removed from committee positions, and kicked out of Congress by Congress.

Which is what has been proposed by several Republicans regarding Adam Schiff. But Nancy Pelosi refuses even to let it be presented to the full House membership. So, once again, politics stands in the way of justice. Schiff has flat out lied on many occasions, and it's all on the public record. He should definitely not be allowed to hold a committee chairmanship, but Nancy refuses to discuss it.

Well that’s the way the world works. Republicans won’t vote to remove Trump in the Senate. The methods are there.
