Is he really 12 strokes over par in the last 4 holes?
Yes he was tied for 2nd at one point early in the second round and ended up missing the cut. I've been following golf a long time and I don't remember a collapse of that magnitude (strokes lost) ever. Van de Velve's collapse at The Open may have been the most dramatic though.

Cameron has come out early in several tournaments lately and scored really well but fades. Golf is one mentally taxing sport at that level to some folks.

Greg Norman at The Masters (I forget which year). That was difficult to watch.
