He has a tore meniscus.
Damn. Wish the best for him. Thankfully, he has a RS year to use.
Is he having it scoped or repaired?
Scoped = few weeks of recovery and then being able to play + hating yourself when you're 40 with knee problems.
Repaired = 6-8 weeks non-weight bearing and then running in ~3 months, but around 80% chance of a full recovery (but out for the season)
I hope he redshirts. Knock on wood, but it seems like we'll be fine at LB depth-wise this year, and the starters aren't going to be surpassed.
As much as it may bite for us, I hope he goes for the repair and gets it done right.
