May seem, or even be, unfair but it’s 100% constitutional.

Only according to 5 supreme court justices who completely bastardized the constitution. Legal scholars from all ends of the political spectrum laugh in unison at this decision.

Here is the exact text of the 5th amendment in its entirety, with the emboldened part done by me to specifically highlight the topic at hand.
"No person shall be held to answer for a capital, or otherwise infamous crime, unless on a presentment or indictment of a Grand Jury, except in cases arising in the land or naval forces, or in the Militia, when in actual service in time of War or public danger; nor shall any person be subject for the same offence to be twice put in jeopardy of life or limb; nor shall be compelled in any criminal case to be a witness against himself, nor be deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor shall private property be taken for public use, without just compensation."

The Kelo case is about private property being taken for OTHER PRIVATE USE. Through legal gymnastics, attorneys argued that technically if you follow the maze, the public ends up benefiting because the public will get more tax money which will ultimately get used somehow for some other public use - its all based on hypotheticals, dependent on the whims of some other individual. Of course, the other private party in this case never developed the land and the public never got their benefit...but the original owner never got their property back.

I think you skimmed over and didn’t catch the “without just compensation” part. I’m not familiar with the case you cited but if the government gave him / them “just” compensation, it’s completely constitutional.

The compensation part is not material to the violation of the 5th amendment. In fact, it makes it worse. The private to private takings is what violates the constitution. And in this case the public never got anything out of it and the original owner never got their property back. In order for the government to even attempt an argument of improved public use, they had to compensate the first owner much less than what the second owner would end up with, otherwise the net tax revenue to the city would have balanced out.

and in other news Lee says Cruz would be the single best replacement...............................:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO: Lee has ZERO experience on the bench, bright man but woefully too inexperienced to sit on the SCOTUS

    Who on Trumps team has?

I hear a former Fox News guy may be considered for communications director though.

I wonder who has issued more retractions in the last decade. CNN, Fox, ABC, CBS, NBC, MSNBC? I wonder which has issued the fewest?

Yep the new communication director has. And for the most part this was done in jest, Fox is what it is and they finally admitted they are an entertainment company. At least the ones you mentioned will actually admit it when they screw up unlike our friends at Fox ;) All of the media are whores, they put themselves out to the highest bidder so to speak.
