It is with great saddness to announce the passing of former GA Tech great Taz Anderson. His sister, Clay, has confirmed his passing this morning.

He had been in ill health for a while and they didn't think he'd make it about a year ago. He got better, and seemed to be healthier, but, obviously, never fully recovered.

One of Dodd's boys. Dodd would not have many more and none better. I believe I recall some chatter when Johnson was hired that Anderson was instrumental in the whole situation.

Man loved Tech. The Taz had great expectations for GT. He believed Tech should win.

What we could not do with a thousand more like him.

Glad his suffering is over and he can rest in peace.

Praying his family will feel the comfort of God's love.

And yet another Tech icon is gone. He usually had a smile on his face, always up to something with Tech on his mind.

Previously an end, Taz moved to fullback and confounded defenses by being "a hard-driving fullback that could catch the ball"...not often seen back in the day. A fine athlete and a great Tech man.

RIP, old friend. Keep a light on for me.
