Gibbs doesn't have to worry about blitzes and disguised coverages. He will do what comes naturally and it will be fun to watch.

What hasn't been said yet: Sims + Gibbs is a preview of GT's backfield of the future. CGC has recruited 1-2 4 stars at each of the skill positions every year. We are slowly stacking those "elite" chips the factories roll out every year. In 3-4 years, we could have a starting lineup of former elite recruits.

If things keep progressing in recruiting as they have been, we will look back at this game against FSU with Jeff Sims starting and Gibbs playing a big role, as a turning point for our program. Progress is often incremental, and you don't see it overnight. At some point those increments add up and become an avalanche. Still a LONG way to go before GT is on the same plain as the elite of college football, but the talent gap is slowly narrowing for GT. With Sims and Gibbs, we have two elite boulders to start that avalanche.

22’ class is already looking like the best class GT has ever recruited. Potentially a phenomenal class.

So pumped to see Sims. Hope he dominates since Norvell didn't want him. Definitely think Gleason is the package QB inside the 10. He gives you the Tebow bruiser type. Look for him and JP to run option plays and mix in some jump passes on the fake sneak.

He's a 3 star 5.5 on rivals with decent p5 offer list, but yea I agree kind of a ridiculous statement based on nothing except a very early commitment.

So was Malik Rutherford and he is a 5.7 now. I dont think his statement was based on that commit, but rather the overall buzz around the class.

If you start a true freshman you have to be willing to live through the inevitable ups and downs. Can't tank a guy unless things are really going off the rails. If anything you may let him sit for a series just to calm down but he can't he looking over his shoulder the entire time.
