The kiddo and I always stay the night of the spring game and run the Pi Mile 5k the next morning.
It was Friday the 21st last year

Pretty sure it was a Saturday one of those years, but I believe you are correct that it was Friday last year.

I think Friday is better for the band. The Spring Game serves as their audition for drum majors, and a lot of them need to spend their Saturday studying for finals and finishing up projects.

Couldn't they study up for finals and finish up projects Friday and/or Sunday and then hit the game Saturday. Time management 101.

I'm just being selfish cause I can't make the Friday date, I'll have to stream it.
