Dunno.

Arkansas is "planning" to start practicing July 1. On the other hand, the State University System in California just announced they will have no students on campus in the fall. That means probably no football for San Diego State, San Jose State and Fresno State.

Cal has already stated that they're anticipating all of the 2020-21 academic year to be on-line.

Unless somebody changes the rules, if there are no students on campus, then athletes can't be on campus either. So with no on-campus classes during the summer, the earliest practice could start would be at the end of the summer school session, which is early to mid-August, I think. If there are classes on campus during the Fall, then it would seem to me that the earliest a season could start would be either the latter part of September or the first week of October.

If not other issues the majority of the ACC should be back fall. Boston College & Syracuse would appear to be potential hold outs but that wouldn’t stop the other campuses. Schedules would have to be modified. It would probably be shell campuses with football and other athletes operating in silos away from other students. Not sure how many students would be on campus but no students no football.

Even if there is another outbreak states like GA will not shutdown. They’ll just pile up the bodies.

Considering that college age students are not even .1% likley to die or have serious issues if they catch this virus, why wouldn't they be on campus? To make the football team safe, just cancel the Yellow Jacket Walk, as that is the only interaction between fans and players. The fans that want to go to games are required to wear masks. Where's the problem with having a season?

Just because you don't want to, or don't feel safe going, then don't go. But don't stop others who want to go with the right precautions.
