Looks like Nell in her first true recruiting class has targeted offensive-minded, run-oriented athletes. Long-armed tweeners. Even the 5’10” SA plays like a 6 footer(reminiscent of the husky types Landers recruited to the Mutts). I see some on the ball pressure defense that sort of escaped us in recent years. Fast breaking in transition. Speed the ball up court after a made basket for a potential layup or good open shot. More exciting brand to play in. Running!

With as much negativity that has surrounded the GT men’s basketball program this class has exceeded what I thought we could accomplish. If we can get some relief from the NCAA sanctions this class may be just what we need to final rebuild the program

Yes, this was a good class. Our #1 need by far is a replacement for Banks and we got that. We have a good base to expect 20+ wins the next few years.

Volleyball is doing well, softball, golf, tennis, women’s basketball, baseball. Our men’s basketball might finally be turning the corner. Football we’ve got to wait until probably 2021 but if we can close on what is by far our best recruiting class in the last decade, that will be a good sign. Plus we got a 5-star and a few 4-stars through transfers.
