Ok, about the offense:
1. First game with a Freshman Qb.
2. We left 7 points on the ground with kicking and maybe with 1 of the 2 picks we might have driven those in.
3. Don't sell the FSU D short. They may have one of the best Dlines in CFB and Samuel is a baller. A lot of those guys will be playing on Sunday.

If Coach P sticks with what he did in the second half and try to run more outside, we will score some points this year.
Samuel is definitely a baller. A lot of QBs and coaches would have written off that side of the field. We played the entire field anyway, and I like that approach. (If you give up 1/3rd of the field to Samuel, then the rest of the defense can cheat. You just can’t throw a bad ball Samuel’s way).

It usually takes any offense 2 years to learn and feel comfortable with a new offense. The Falcons looked like crap during the first year under Shanahan. However they looked like world beaters year 2. The coaches discussed how they spent much of the the first spring teaching fundamentals instead of being able to install the offense. That played a a part in how we played. Can't blame the coaches on that.

LOL...him saying the players didn't know the plays last year. Not having the right players to run a system is one thing...not making sure they know what to do is another.

Every coach says stuff like that to some extent. It's not too far removed from 'we made a lot of the wrong reads'.
