Another of Dodd's Boys from the early Sixties......

Sorry for the quality, but this is what they sent to the Letterwinners instead of the usual OBIT link.

Seems he lived a good life - married 41 years, good friends and family, a fine career - the kind of life we've seen often from our players of that era.

Thanks for sharing. Many of these guys were my heroes growing up. It reminds me of an era when the game was so much more meaningful for guys like me. Soon it will be unrecognizable. More of a professional, commercial enterprise with little semblance of the bygone tradition. The networks, casinos, and agents will run the show. Just a minor league for the NFL with only the football factory schools surviving; really having little to do with college at all.

Go Jackets!

Doug never played in the GHSA state playoffs in basketball, but Sylvan Hills won the state championship the two years following his graduation. Some great athletes poured through that campus in that era.
