I kept the pre-season Athlon magazine just to compare the final rankings. (11) of the Top 25 in the Athlon's pre-season poll missed the final Top 25 AP Poll. There was even distribution between the Power 5 Conference misses; ACC (1), SEC (2), Big 10 (2), Big 12 (2), Pac 12 (2). Among the newly ranked teams again there was even distribution; ACC (2), SEC (2), Big 10 (2), Big 12 (1), Pac 12 (2).
