Please Explain

I wish the article would dive deeper into why so many poor and working class Whites vote so devotedly against their own self interest. Why states like Georgia and Mississippi are so "Conservative" while receiving over 40% of their funding from the federal government?

Quite the misguided individual......."only rich people for their self interest"

There is a big difference between being poor and self sufficient and being poor and dependent. That is why you see the voting patterns that exist.
