PFF

I'm curious about PFF. It is supposed to be a grading system for every player on every play in every NFL game and in the games for 102 FBS teams (Wiki). How do they acquire the stats? Does anyone know how many people they employ to watch that many plays x 22 players per play? Or is some sort of AI employed?

BTW...my name is Thomas, as in Doubting Thomas.
