With the imminent transfer of several playrs recently does this open up more schollies to recruit others who we didn't think we had room for?

Breakdown
With the above link...It appears that we only need 1 AB and or 1 WR and 4 DL... So I can see this class at 17 or 18...hard pressed to be at 20 or over..

Position Count Justification
QB 1 Under Paul Johnson, Georgia Tech has always taken at least one QB.
Committed Tobias Oliver
BB 0 With several young B-Backs already in place, this might be a rare year where none are taken, barring players leaving before exhausting their eligibility..
Committed Jerry Howard
AB 1 Graduations of Lynn Griffin and Isaiah Willis open up room for at least 1 AB in the class.
Unfilled (TQM &/or Jay Jones could switch to AB)
WR 1 Although everyone has eligibility left after this season, there's a chance that one of the redshirt juniors won't return.
Unfilled
OL 3 Freddie Burden is set to graduate (meaning they'll need a center), and the Jackets need two more between OG and OT already.
Committed OC Conner Hansen/OL Mike Minihan/OL Zach Quinney
DT 2 Pat Gamble and Francis Kallon are in their final years of eligibility.
Unfilled
DE 2 Rod Rook-Chungong and Kenderius Whitehead will be graduating, making room for two defensive ends.
Unfilled
LB 2 Chase Alford and P.J. Davis are each set to graduate following the 2016 season.
Committed LB Bruce Jordan -Swilling/LB TD Roof
CB 2 Georgia Tech finds itself short on cornerbacks headed into 2016. They'll need at least 2 in the next class.
Committed DB Tre Swilling/DB Dameon Williams/ DB Jaytlin Askew
S/NB 1 A bit of risk for early attrition at this spot and a continued emphasis on the 4-2-5 leaves room for another body here.
Committed S/DB Gentry Bonds
Specialists 0 Although Harrison Butker and Ryan Rodwell are due to graduate, a scholarship player here is likely to come from within the program this time, as opposed to being recruited.
Committed K Joe Bulovas/P Pressley Harvin

DL, especially DT, is always our bugaboo as it is now with zero commits so far. This is one position we need to scour the entire country (or out of it, for that matter.) Smart and good DL's are rare, we need to turn over rocks in every nook and cranny. This is where choosing a staff has a huge impact on recruiting. We need assistants with connections out west, up north, in the middle of the country.... not just the SE.

That article is from February, with the guys transfering and just not coming back we are up to 23 I believe.
Correct, but please remember we had 3 players last year who chose not to go to another school and choose GT as PWO... They could be placed on Scholly so we can still be below 20... the kids to watch for are:

OL Chet Lagod

These weren't kids in the same situation as Stewart, he was told when a scholarship opens it's yours. If this was the case for the other kids, then they would have scholarships now. Pwo don't get scholarships until they are making an impact on the field, and none of these guys have played so I doubt they get one this year. That's not saying they won't get one latter, but they would have to show they can produce on the field first, if not there is no point, that's why they were pwo and not offered scholarships. I've never seen cpj just put a kid on scholarship that hasn't played a down, and that's why I say this.

I have no inside info but if I had to guess based on our current numbers and where we need help on the field I would assume our recruiting class might end up Looking like this, if we have 2 transfers coming in (talk there might be some but we could end up getting none) we would have 8 more spots open.

4 DL
2 LB
1 S
1 OL

if we don't get any transfers I would say an aback or bback depending on where they put Howard and a WR for he other 2 spots. If the transfers do come in at one or two of the OL, LB, S, or LB spots we might recruit a aback or bback and WR.

So in other words I think we will end up with 4 DL 2 LB 1 S 1 OL 1 aback or back and 1 WR whether it be through transfers or recruiting.

Not sure how accurate this article is, but they mention the following about recruits:
1. The Yellow Jackets are saving a spot for, 3-star cornerback and plan to host OJ Tucker on an official visit the weekend prior to Signing Day.
2. Tech is actively recruiting in-state rusher Jalen Holston, though they must fend off Virginia Tech and UNC.
3. The Yellow Jackets are optimistic with 4-star Leonard Warner of Snellville, Ga. are pushing for a January visit.
4. Tech is also looking at expanding its linebacker board, targeting new prospects such as Quenton Miller, 3-star out of Lawrenceville, Georgia.
