Old thread bumps

I wish threads that haven't had a post in 6 months couldn't be resurrected from the dead by a simple reply. If someone wanted to reference an old thread, they could link it, but start a new thread. Just my opinion. Does anyone else feel this way?

Because I don't pay attention to the date of the first post and think it's something new and I read several pages before I realize it's old news and I need to go to the end of the thread to see what new news was posted.
