We don't know who is calling Collins or TStan about the openings. When it was announced that I was retiring from my engineering position it was surprising who inquired about the opening. There are people out there looking for a change or have had their HC and staff fired. Atlanta is an attractive location.

Don’t see Collins deviating from the GT tree that’s why I think it’ll be Corey Dennis as OC and Shane Bowen as DC. We can afford Dennis and can’t find Bowen’s salary, but at least make him say no.

Allegedly, there was money on the table to pay off Collins after the ND game. I wonder if some of that could be repurposed to get "A Level" coordinators? I think it would be money well spent.

The more realistic scenario is if Mullen were willing to come here, it would be as HC. You know that money Stansbury said we have to buy out CGC right now? Well, hiring Mullen is one of the scenarios where Stansbury puts that money to use.

We do NOT want Mullen As HC. Forget this guy, why would we want someone that flunked the Florida Gator test and is the basic reason Ole Miss got placed on probation and why Hugh Frieze had to leave. And he wasn’t that good at Miss St, either without Dak Prescott.

The man is trouble and the expectation if he came here is that he would take the reins if CGC bites the dust. I don't want him anywhere near the HC position at Tech. OC would be a great fit for him, but he would have expectations of grandeur if Collins gets fired.

Not sure about bumping Corey dennis up to OC with zero play calling experience. But wonder if we could sway him to be co-oc + qb coach with a bump in pay .. especially with rumor of Ryan day likely leaving. Then bring someone else in to be OC and call plays.

UCF isn’t that great. Ole Miss will be talented but may be starting a new QB and new HC. Clemson and uga are high probability losses.
I seriously doubt Kiffin is going anywhere right now. And if Arch Manning comes to Oxford, it’s a done deal. Kiffin just set a regular season win record here and the future is bright. And Ole Miss has DEEP pockets.

He ain’t leaving.

Where is Ryan Day supposedly going?

Dan Mullen is the reason Hugh Freeze called escort services from his job-provided cell phone?

Long term it won’t work. Can’t keep Collins as HC at $3MM per year, when he’s essentially just your recruiting and branding guy. Hopefully, one of the new coordinators can take over.
The goal is to win. I don't care (much) about who is in what role or what we pay. I guarantee going from 3 wins to 8 wins is gonna bring in more than enough money to pay for whoever we get.
