Will ND discuss joining the ACC in football during the off season? They would have two chances to make the playoffs. A two loss Auburn, TCU, or Ohio State possibly making the playoffs would make me consider it. As things stand now, two losses and they are out every year. A 2 loss ACC champion would be in the conversation every year, if they are the Irish.

Won't happen until their 4 game schedule is over. It's extremely hard for them to try to schedule their USC Navy Stanford and Michigan (State) every year with the 8 game ACC schedule. Doesn't offer them anything in football, but it's necessary in all the other sports that don't have divisions to be a conference member for scheduling purposes

Why would they? The ACC offered them a sweetheart of a deal, and they get to keep the best parts of being independant in terms of football.
