Their coach said to the interviewer at halftime before he went to the locker room that they were going to see who the tougher team was.

Depends on what you want to call the “worst” loss. NIU is definitely the worst team we lost to. Pitt was the most disheartening. Notre Dame was the most embarrassing. Georgia was the most defeating. But at least those teams are better or have similar talent to us. There’s absolutely no excuse ever for a P5 team to lose to a MAC team under any circumstances. The best team in the MAC isn’t even a top 10 G5 team.

The good news (😩) is you’ve got plenty to choose from.

From the ajc article, it seems the money people are still talking about iit. No issue if you want to forget it, but it is still relevant for the state of the program. Same for other embarrassing losses of which there are many.
No, it's no longer relevant to this team. Changes have been made. More changes are probably coming, so the team that played NIU in September no longer exists. The only reason to keep bringing it up is to continue to slam the coaching staff (or to continue to wallow in the butt-hurt). Everyone already gets that losing to NIU was unacceptable. Time to stop slamming the coaching staff and work towards making next year successful.
