GT Fans,
We've all had many spirited discussions on here about the state of GT Athletics funding, or rather the lack thereof, and how we have fallen behind our competition. Well, now is the time for each of us to do what we can to change that.
A friend and I have created a site (with the help and sanction of the GT Athletic Association) that we believe makes giving simple, along with giving you the ability to easily share it with your network via social media, text, email, etc.
We are pretty excited to launch G.T.F.A.M - Giving Tech Fifty a Month.
The initial goal of this initiative is to help raise the final dollars for the new Edge Center.

By clicking on the above link you will see a few messages from me and my friend regarding why we believe it's important to donate and where the money will go. The thought is, that while most people can't stroke a big check to GT, they may be able to give smaller amounts on a monthly basis (which will add up over time). Through the above site you can make a donation amount and spread it over as many as 60 months.
One of the great things about GTFAM is, because it is ear-marked for the Edge Center, the matching anonymous donor funds will apply to your gift. For example, if you give $12,500 (or $208.33/month for 60 months) the donor will match your gift, thus putting you at a total gift of $25k, which will put you in the tier of "naming rights", which will get your name on a plaque on the wall of donors in the new Edge Center. However, as with any fundraising, we will take what we can...it doesn't have to be $200/month....we will take $50, $100....whatever you feel comfortable with.
Also, for GTFAM, all AT donor rules apply. Meaning you get the points for your donation. If your company matches you get the points. One important note: In the anonymous donor matching gift challenge, you do not get AT points for the match portion, you only get AT points for your donation amount.

So, please feel free to ask any questions. I'll do my best to answer them. Also, please go easy on us....we aren't professional fundraisers, just two alumni that love GT and are trying to help the cause. The link above works both on your desktop and your phone, but it definitely looks better on the desktop. Either way the "donate now" button at the bottom of the page will get you to the donation page.
Thank for the consideration. Go Jackets!
