ND/MBS Tickets

Does anyone know what Notre Dame’s ticket allocation is for this game?

I did a deep dive into the inconsistencies for the designation of games at MBS as either Home, Away, or Neutral. There are several reasons it matters.
  1. The GTAA may mischaracterize true neutral games as home games to pump up ticket sales. I don’t have a problem selling more tickets, but if they are deceitful about it, it’s unethical, if not illegal. Fan complaints about “Giving away home games” have some merit in these cases.
  2. Designation as a neutral site game could induce more opposing fans to buy tickets, even if the seat allocations are unequal.
  3. True neutral game status could explain some of the gripes about seating locations for STH’s.
To summarize what I found about this – it’s “consistently inconsistent” depending on the source of the information.
  • GTAA refers to all games at MBS as Home games.
  • MBS’ web site refers to all as Home games for GT.
  • All games at MBS are considered Neutral site by ESPN.
  • Sponsored season kickoff games appear to be true neutral games based on field markings and some opponent schedules pages, but not all. Louisville called it Neutral in 2023, but Clemson says it was an Away game in 2022. I don’t recall the ticket allocations for these.
  • In the last mid-season game at MBS (2021 UNC), the field was clearly marked like a home game for us.
  • For our upcoming game at MBS, Notre Dame lists it as a Neutral site game, but Seat Geek lists it as an Away game for Notre Dame.
In my opinion, true home games should treat STH’s better than is being reported. If it’s a true neutral game, let’s call it that.
Playing there was negotiated between MBS and GTAA, so those are the sources I would trust.

I called yesterday. They said parking codes for STHs will be sent later this week or next week.

They really are dropping the ball this year.

Reminder, there is no Home Depot Backyard parking this year. GT took it over for their "paid" tailgate.

If we are the home team why are my tickets on the ND side of the field? I am not a huge AT donor but have had ST in 111 for 10 years.

For UT I was in the stratosphere with GT side, sideline tickets. For the other years I have had corner seats in 104/103 (where 106/105 would be closer to my Grant Field seating) which have been on the GT side of the field.

This year the seats are in 122.

My son plans to sell our friend's seats and move us to the VIP club section. He thinks he can do this at less than $150 per ticket. I am not much in favor of it but he thinks it is our best option and is setting my max cost at $150 and eating the rest if necessary.
The "VIP" club section at MBS was disappointing. You still get in beer & food lines unless you're in the real VIP Club sections. The cheapest ones I saw in the real club sections were $375.

Because they decided to do it differently this year and let a blind monkey choose your seats at MBS with no consideration to your seats at our actual home games or what’s happened in the past. In other words, we’re Georgia Tech and we did it to you again!!

Including our season ticket ptice for sec 106, our gross price for the seats are close to that price. His net price is minus the profits from buying and selling his friend's Falcons club seats at market price.
All I really know for sure is I will be paying a maximum of $150 for upgrading to sitting near the 50 yd line with free food and drinks, which will be a hell of a lot better than sitting on the 15 and paying MBS prices for food and drink, in my opinion.

I'm a little annoyed that Tech was holding the best seats in the lower bowl and made me purchase at the top of the section when I bought my tickets last month. Now I check and all the best seats are available for purchase. And of course they haven't delivered the tickets I bought yet so I can't list them (as ticket-in-hand anyway) to buy new ones closer to the field. End of the world? No, but typical GTAA all the same.

Anyone know when the game time is announced? My memory may be failing me, but I thought MBS game starts tended to get announced earlier.

The Falcons play in MBS at 1300 10/20. Not sure if that affects the game time Saturday the 19th… also there are some big games that day that will likely take the mid-afternoon and evening slots. So I’m leaning towards guessing it’s a nooner.

I find it interesting that the game time has not been officially announced, but when I followed the GTAA link for MBS parking, it showed the hours of parking for the lot I chose as 12:00-4:00.

It will be announced at noon today. I didn't realize the Falcons were at home the next day but yeah I guess that would signal we're probably getting noon, maaaybe 3:30.

Is it ever open? They claim it ain’t broke, but I cannot recall it open anytime I’ve been there.
I read online (so there's that) a few years ago and the article said the roof could only be opened and closed 100 times max before the "warranty" was void. However, with the testing, first several events and the covid years, it was already at 80+ times. Anybody read that or know of something similar?

Just got an offer to upgrade my seats to get access to Molly B's club for $150/seat. This is from MBS directly. I get it, but still not happy about going from my 48 yard lines seats at Bobby Dodd to the 15 yard line at MBS.

Hope this note finds you well this afternoon!

Given that you purchased seats for the Georgia Tech vs. Notre Dame game, I wanted to reach out and see if you would have any interest in adding access to our newest club area in the stadium to your seats for the game.

The Gallagher Club at Molly B’s is one of our newest and most upscale clubs in the stadium, located on the 100-level concourse right next to Gate 2, and provides all-inclusive upscale food and beverages, including beer, wine, and liquor, which you can enjoy for the entirety of the game.

The pass is $150 per seat, and it applies to your current seats, granting you access to the Gallagher Club at Molly B’s. If you are interested, here is the link to add those on: Georgia Tech vs. Notre Dame Molly B's Club Pass | Mercedes-Benz Stadium (ticketmaster.com)

Just let me know if you have any questions!

When I asked about the upgrade to the VIP club from the regular club, I was told I couldn't trade in nor receive any credit for my four club level seats. I, like you, am moving from midfield (the 46 yard line club) to the 15 yard line. I am nonplussed.
