In light of young Mr. Gowdy passing, I wanted to share one of my poems with you. This is an oldie, like me:

The Winds Of Heaven

From the energy of life, to the spirit of the heart,
Every moment in every day: We can make a fresh start.

The whisper of His voice, and He can make a river turn into a sea,
I am just a flower in a large garden for what God has planned for me.

As long as a prayer takes-to know that we are whole,
Uniting ourselves in belief and letting our dreams enter the soul.

As life travels on....thoughts that can always be heard,
Pressed between the pages: From a red rose to the words.

To think we can fly away like seagulls in the morning air,
Trying to follow the sun into the everlasting....for whatever we might share.

Every day is a new day: When we believe we can touch the sky,
When we are lost in a love that could never, ever die.
