BJ Bostic posted a picture on Instagram of a conversation with him and Lou. It said that Lou was going to fly out tomorrow and had a 3 year deal with the Broncos. Any truth to this?

He did sign with the Broncos:

3 year deal is probably true...however it's probably not guaranteed. If he makes the team, great...Broncos have him locked for 3 years. If not, they just cut him and move on and probably just lose out on a signing bonus of less than $10K. That's the typical UDFA contract.

ON another note: Robby Godhigh may be signing with the Falcons!

Thanks for the update.
Congrats to them and best of luck to Godhigh.

young is interesting to me because he is a classic 2 deep CB. he can jam and sit, but he is not good on field side in man or man free at all. He may be a good nickel CB playing inside....it will be interesting to see how Dever tries him out and uses him. He is not able to replace a guy like Bailey, but he can be stuck inside and play physical between the hashes in the slot in nickel and get away with it.

CBs are a funky breed. Alot of their success is scheme based as much as anything. The problem is though, all schemes ask for 3deep deep, quarters, manfree, etc...just different proportions of each...so this is why he may be a nickel guy and specialist best case?

During his sophomore year, I thought he would be a future star for us. I thought he was our best overall corner that year...that was the same secondary that had Sweeting, and Jemea. Really good against the run, and held his own in coverage. Naturally you'd think he'd improve upon those skills over time, but unfortunately it looked like he regressed a bit in coverage every year. Jemea improved during that time and became a stud...it's a shame Young didn't follow that same trend line because he has ideal NFL size for the CB position.

As for scheme...I think you can say that about a lot of positions. Patrick Peterson recently called out Richard Sherman saying he wouldn't be squat outside of Seattle's scheme because he got so much help. CBs are a funny breed...

they are...but the difference between young under groh and roof is the scheme. Groh was in zone ALOT more than roof....roof asked more of his corners....

I have never seen a player regress so far his Sr yr.He played like a Fr a lot.. It has to be some on him but what were the coaches doing? Not good at all.

he was bad on an island...he had to play soft in man due to lack of speed and quickness, so the comebacks and out routes were wide open.

This is true. Someone mentioned above, but I don't recall ever thinking he had better corner skills than Jemea. I also agree that he was better suited for nickel corner.

I think in his senior year he was letting stuff get into his head. He was listening to critics and at times it seemed like he was more worried about what they were saying than he was about his own playing.

I agree. And I didn't like it either. He was a baller in 2011 though

He would've been drafted if Charles Kelly was still here. Leonard provided some insight a while back that I think was really valuable.
