Not to get too far ahead...but this is mostly a young team. Scary potential considering the 2 guys we counted on to bring a pass rush are not even playing this year (JHD and Whitehead) and will be available next year. The best offensive player at the most important position in football still has 2 years to go after this year. Lots of OL potential with size and athleticism that will anchor the offense for a long time. Secondary is young, and we'll have to find some Safeties, but a young group of corners getting their feet wet this year.

Will have to find playmakers at WR as we're losing Waller and Smelter...but we have two studs in Phillpot and Howell coming in along with Jeune waiting his turn.

Could we be headed for a nice run the next few years?

safeties won't be an issue next year...mark it down. Corey griffin and golden are fine with noble etc....

young teams can get hot...focus on this year...the game vs miami will tell u about this team in a confidence jump or a overconfidence sink...its a key judgment game.

CPJ brings up a good point. We can get SOOO much better. Have not even remotely played a complete game yet.

Miami is a good time as any to play that complete game.

This team could easily become one of my ten favorite Tech teams, dating back to the mid-fifties, and that is simply because there is no "quit" on this team. They keep coming back at you and doing what they need to do to win. Thomas, Smelter, and Laskey are capable of putting up some big numbers this season and much of that has to do with a hungry supporting cast on each side of the ball that continues to play with a ton of heart. I love this team.
