Ah, yes. The "simple, high school" offense. Those four plays took 31 pages to describe and those descriptions included more coaching points then you would find in an entire playbook of most offenses. Very useful descriptions.

Btw, I think the guy who first noticed the vulnerabilities that could be exploited by the option was Bill Yeoman. There were precursors of option football in the wing T that Dodd ran (based on the one Clarke Shaughnessy put together for Eddie LeBaron), but, if I'm not mistaken, it was Yeoman who saw the possibilities of going all option all the time.
