If you listen to the commentator at the very end of the second video, he references the Golden Tornado. I didn't realize that was used at all after the 20's.

Loved that Nameth was picked off twice.

Thanks for posting Brian. Great vids. I've heard my old man talk a lot about that bama game. Mentions that and a 6-3 Tennessee game, not sure of year, as the best games he has ever seen.

Man there were some greats on that 76 team. Drew Hill, David Sims, Eddie Lee Ivery, Gary Lanier, L. Sanford, Reggie Wilkes....BALLERS. Awesome thread.

check out this vs A&M in 1966 Dodds last year... pretty cool to see


Let me get this straight. Losing to A&M 3-0 at the half. We come back in the second half, get way up. Leading 31 to 3 with just seconds left, we execute an onsides kick. Then on the last play of the game we throw a bomb to John Sias for a score as time expires. Did Dodd and Stallings have something going on?
