I don’t know where the qb sneak has gone in the game. Did these coaches not watch Brady win 7 super bowls by utilizing the qb sneak multiple times in pretty much every game he played?

What I don't understand is why with both Ds standing there like zombies after 6 DTs Tech didn't try for the edge or run a double option to the edge. Just trying to ram King up the middle was not a high percentage play; both OLs were as gassed as the Ds and the run blocking was marginal. King's (if it was his) decision to try for it reminded me of Taquon's failure to pitch the ball to Mills in the 2017 UT game. But … Haynes was already in the end zone when he decided to run; apparently no toss was anticipated. Why I do not know. I think either a toss to Haynes or a sweep by Singleton would have won it.

Above my pay grade, I know.

Would have been a perfect time for a double option run to the corner

Georgia planned for and took away the run game up the middle all night. They just flat out have better athletes up-front along with effective blitz schemes. Also remember their depth vs ours in a situation like 8OTs.

I think operating from the shotgun gave us the best opportunity and kept Georgia guessing.

Maybe we use a “jumbo” package on those really short yardage situations. Remember when Clemson ran “the fridge” on offense?

Its the head coach that must put aside personal biases and steely eyes assess talent levels.
We ran pyron behind lg and c - two guys that key has trusted for 3-4 years The other coaches know this.
nd, Loiusville, uga have studs in dt. Uga dt lb threw 67 into backfield on way to pyron. Then they folded him like a card table. Got to be smart.

Someone of authority needs to tell key trying harder to tell them you are coming and then just " run the bawwl " wont work against good teams. Sure we relad ol with atletes like Oregon or ND and they can crush the not good teams, but please be Gt smart.

I think Key can learn.

I forgot to mention something I've said here before (when = goooood question): Buster needs to consider Army's standard QB keeper at the there or closer. As in this:

Goto 3:53 then watch the way Army does this. King is as good a runner as Bryson Daily. All you have to do is post two TEs to the side in question in the positions the BB and AB are and run the play. Against a fresh Ugag D this might not work. Against a Ugag D at 6 OTs and from a yard out, sure it would. And you can run a RPO from this as well.

Provided you don't just line up King under center and try to sneak it across. That probably would have worked too.

Monken has done a fantastic job.

And yes, lining up over center for 1 yard and less plays makes a lot of sense. Just look at how Philly has made it AUTOMATIC by doing that and putting huge guys behind Jalen to push him into the end zone. I'm still dying that we could not make 1 yard for the win.

Or the 4th and 1 in the 1st quarter....Same play, same result.
