Guys and Gals, please keep the Lady Jackets in your thoughts - after starting the year on a tear, they have now lost 4 straight to open the ACC and are 11-6 overall, 0-4 in the ACC. This weekend they lost both series at home, getting swept by a good Louisville team, and then losing a heart breaker to a good Notre Dame team:
28-26, 27-25, 21-25, 22-25, 15-12 (3-2).

No that's not a typo. In the first 4 sets, they never scored fewer than 25 points in a game that goes to 25 points. Oh that devilish win by 2. Devastating way to lose. Total points in the match across all 5 sets was equal.

The Lady Jackets FINALLY broke through with their first ACC win this week, beating a bad 9-9 (0-5 ACC) Clemson team at home in 5 sets. Not a pretty way to win, but hopefully it gives them some confidence to move forward and get back on a winning streak.

Next up they play home this weekend against a beatable Virginia Tech (11-5, 2-2 ACC) team and then go on the road to play a beatable Wake Forest (6-10, 1-3 ACC) team, and the following weekend they're at a beatable Duke (7-6, 1-3 ACC) team.

There really are only a couple extremely good ACC teams this year, and there's a huge logjam after that - standings: http://www.theacc.com/standings.aspx?standings=19

As you'll see in the standings, our overall record puts us about 4th out of 15.

The Lady Jackets dropped an away game vs Wake Forest late last week, but then beat Duke 3-1 on the road yesterday. They're in the middle of a BRUTAL, 4-game away trip. Up next is @FSU and @Miami.

After a couple tough road losses @Miami and @FSU, the Lady Jackets took down UNCheat and NC State at home last weekend.

The schedule is still beneficial for us for a bit yet, with 3 more straight home games against Pitt, Virginia, and Syracuse over the next couple of weeks. We are 13-3 at home and 1-6 on the road. Yikes.

Lady Jackets have won 3 of last 4 (all at home). Only loss was against #10 Pittsburgh.

Home record is a respectable 14-4, but the 1-6 away record is pretty rough.
