Jan 19, 2015 9:11 AM - UgaBlows: Eric, are we feeling better about keeping the two LA recruits now? I hope we don't lose any of these kids, it's a great class
Jan 19, 2015 9:12 AM - Eric: I feel better about Campbell...Still think Singleton will take visits.
Jan 19, 2015 9:15 AM - jeffgt14: Good morning! Eric, is everyone still planning on coming for visits this coming weekend?
Jan 19, 2015 9:15 AM - Eric: Was told that will be day to day...Coach told me that Vic may get pushed back to the 30th.
Jan 19, 2015 9:16 AM - Madison Grant: Couldn't read the Vic article you posted- What was his reaction to the UCLA visit?
Jan 19, 2015 9:16 AM - Eric: Also was told Dylan Jackson is a "longshot"
Jan 19, 2015 9:17 AM - Eric: Its a long article...its free http://ucla.scout.com/story/1503549-alexander-visits-ucla?s=12
Jan 19, 2015 9:17 AM - Madison Grant: Website isn't letting me read it
Jan 19, 2015 9:18 AM - Eric: said he loved it, his mom changed her mind on UCLA and she wants him there, really really high on UCLA but still going to take GT visit.
Jan 19, 2015 9:18 AM - Madison Grant: Okay, thx
Jan 19, 2015 9:18 AM - Eric: "They're going to give me #6 and there is a lot of pressure with that number because of EK," said Alexander. "He won the Butkus Award and was one of the great linebackers ever at UCLA. "I’m planning on coming in to work my behind off and represent that number like he did."
Jan 19, 2015 9:18 AM - Eric: "My mom loved it," said Alexander. "She actually was against UCLA at first, but after coming out, she really loved it. The biggest highlight for me on the trip was seeing my mom change her mind about UCLA. She wants me there."
Jan 19, 2015 9:18 AM - Eric: Next weekend, Alexander will visit Georgia Tech, but said that he's pretty solid with the Bruins. "I'm just going on that trip with an open mind," said Alexander. "I'm really really high on UCLA but I'm going to still take that visit."
Jan 19, 2015 9:18 AM - Eric: a few quotes from that article.
Jan 19, 2015 9:19 AM - Madison Grant: Where will Dylan Jackson likely wind up?
Jan 19, 2015 9:19 AM - jeffgt14: How does being filled up affect the chances of getting OV’s from players for us. It doesn’t seem to affect SEC schools very much because they’re technically never full. Do recruits think differently when we are full vs when an SEC team is full?
Jan 19, 2015 9:20 AM - Eric: LSU, Stanford and Vandy are the main three right now...I would guess Stanford or LSU
Jan 19, 2015 9:21 AM - Madison Grant: Doesn't Stanford run a 3-4 defense? Always wondered how St Amour was going to fit in there, unless they're going to play him at LB
Jan 19, 2015 9:21 AM - UgaBlows: Eric, not trying to stir anything up here, but are we after DE's Jackson, and Anree but no longer recruiting Logan Gray? Or is Gray projected as a LB?
Jan 19, 2015 9:22 AM - UgaBlows: Meant to say WHY are we after...
Jan 19, 2015 9:22 AM - Madison Grant: Logan Hunt, I think you mean
Jan 19, 2015 9:22 AM - UgaBlows: Yes, sorry!
Jan 19, 2015 9:22 AM - jwsavhGT: With Alexander so high on UCLA I say good for him. As someone posted in one of the threads, let's concentrate on those who want to be/stay here & good luck to those who want to go elsewhere.
Jan 19, 2015 9:23 AM - UgaBlows: I hope Vic goes to ucla and not VT!
Jan 19, 2015 9:23 AM - Madison Grant: I'd rather him go to UCLA than Bud Foster wind up with him. NO PLEASE
Jan 19, 2015 9:23 AM - Jerry the Jacket: If Singleton bails do you think we take the next WR on the list or do we look for just the best player regardless of position?
Jan 19, 2015 9:27 AM - Southpaw13: We have 7 WR's plus Qua already, and none of them are seniors and only 1 junior. I'd prefer we go elsewhere with that scholarship if he lleaves
Jan 19, 2015 9:27 AM - Eric: @Jeff its not different for others, they will still visit if we want them to.
Jan 19, 2015 9:27 AM - Oldgoldandwhite: Is the next one on the list the secret player?
Jan 19, 2015 9:28 AM - Eric: We arent after Saint-Amour as much...Hunt isnt on our list.
Jan 19, 2015 9:28 AM - Eric: @Jerry I was told that it will got to best available.
Jan 19, 2015 9:29 AM - flounder: I missed the last chat, so what was this mysterious piece of info that had to stay in chat everyone was alluding to?
Jan 19, 2015 9:29 AM - Eric: @Oldgoldandwhite if we want a WR we will go after someone that is a new name to the board, if that doesnt work then they would turn to Stewart at WR. But thats only if we wanted another WR
Jan 19, 2015 9:30 AM - Eric: @flounder I just wanted the info that if Curry or Walker didnt commit during there visits then they would no longer have a offer from Tech to stay on here.
Jan 19, 2015 9:30 AM - flounder: Oh. Ok. Thanks!
Jan 19, 2015 9:30 AM - thwuga: @Eric @flounder thx was wondering about that as well
Jan 19, 2015 9:31 AM - Eric: Also posted that Curry was no longer a UVA commit and it had been known for awhile he wouldnt end up there.
Jan 19, 2015 9:32 AM - jwsavhGT: Per Savh paper, CPJ is in town today visiting Stewart.
Jan 19, 2015 9:32 AM - Eric: I posted that in the Stewart thread this morning.
Jan 19, 2015 9:33 AM - Southpaw13: So Eric who is left on the board for next available? Marshall... Saint Armour... Dylan Jackson? ... Is there a 'mystery recruit' who you can't reveal their name?
Jan 19, 2015 9:34 AM - Eric: Marshall is most likely to end up here if we get another ship.
Jan 19, 2015 9:36 AM - Southpaw13: I do somewhat worry we could end up in the same position we were in last year with 6 or 7 RB's in one class ... Marshall would only make that worse. I'd have ot think they really like him a lot, see him as having the same or greater potential than the guys we already have on board?
Jan 19, 2015 9:36 AM - BabyJacket1990: Rivals reporting we have a *few* spots left. Any idea on that ?
Jan 19, 2015 9:38 AM - Eric: @southpaw we are going to break this up in to two classes really...We will play 2-3 of these guys at A Back and prob 2 guys at B back that makes them a year apart in classes....They are trying to add the best players on the board right now. They do like him a lot and like that he can play both spots.
Jan 19, 2015 9:39 AM - AlabamaBuzz: Good morning, Eric.
Jan 19, 2015 9:39 AM - Madison Grant: Is Nick Dawson more likely a take at DE, since St Amour and Jackson are heading elsewhere?
Jan 19, 2015 9:39 AM - Eric: @baby I guess we will see who is right come NSD...I dont see us adding a "few" more..I see us adding 1 more max. Not counting decommits of course.
Jan 19, 2015 9:39 AM - AlabamaBuzz: This may have been asked already, but do you think Vic and/or Anree still consider a visit, or is that not very likely?
Jan 19, 2015 9:40 AM - Southpaw13: Thanks, always appreciate your info and the way you do things Eric... some of the other GT sites just don't seem to have the patience you do. It is always appreciated!
Jan 19, 2015 9:40 AM - Eric: No Nick does not have a offer from us...We would have to have someone at DL decommit to consider him IMO.
Jan 19, 2015 9:40 AM - Eric: Anree has already took a OV to GT...Vic will still visit. Or thats the plan as of now.
Jan 19, 2015 9:41 AM - Eric: Thanks Southpaw!
Jan 19, 2015 9:41 AM - Eric: I sent a message to my friend on the staff that said "anree didnt commit to Stanford on his visit" he replied..."should have"
Jan 19, 2015 9:42 AM - Eric: I think we are after Dylan jackson harder right now.
Jan 19, 2015 9:42 AM - Madison Grant: Sounds like Anree maybe wants to play the hat game on Signing Day
Jan 19, 2015 9:42 AM - Southpaw13: Jackson is thicker, correct? Could eventually move inside with that body? Or at least give us more bulk if he stays outside?
Jan 19, 2015 9:43 AM - jeffgt14: Seeing as we may have 1 spot open (if that). Would we take Dylan over Marshall?
Jan 19, 2015 9:43 AM - BabyJacket1990: Would love to close out with jackson,Vic , and Marshall . It's been a long time since recruiting was fun to follow. Anyone else feeling the same ?
Jan 19, 2015 9:43 AM - Eric: I think Anree will announce sometime in the next week but he could end up a NSD guy.
Jan 19, 2015 9:44 AM - Eric: jackson is a bigger body and and yes he could grow into a DE. Good player. More of a set the edge guy than Anree.
Jan 19, 2015 9:44 AM - scotts: When does CPJ meet with the players and finds out who is not ocming back for next year?
Jan 19, 2015 9:44 AM - Southpaw13: Eric how does your Depth chart compare to this for next year...
Jan 19, 2015 9:45 AM - Southpaw13: Thomas (JR) Andrews (JR) Snoddy (SR) Leggett (FR) Summers (JR) Philpott (FR) Chamberlain (SR) Braun (SR) Burden (JR) Devine (SO) Joe (SR)
Jan 19, 2015 9:45 AM - Southpaw13: 2nd string: Byerly (SR) Searcy (FR) Jarrett/Cottrell/Marshall (FR) Lands-Davis (FR) Howell (FR) Jeune (SO) Griffin (SO) Brown (FR) Marshall (SO) Brigham (JR) Klock (FR)
Jan 19, 2015 9:45 AM - Eric: @Jeff I think we would but it is first come first serve still. Jackson would likely want to wait and announce on NSD
Jan 19, 2015 9:48 AM - BabyJacket1990: How would you compare this class to the 07 class?
Jan 19, 2015 9:49 AM - mts315: So are we done with Anree or is he still considered a guy who we would take a commit from if we have an available scholarship? Sounds like the coaches may be done with him.
Jan 19, 2015 9:49 AM - Eric: I have Jeune as a starter at WR, and Gary Brown starting at RT
Jan 19, 2015 9:50 AM - Eric: I have Eason as second string T and Quaide as second string B back
Jan 19, 2015 9:50 AM - Eric: brown at RG not RT

Jan 19, 2015 at 9:50 AM - Eric: 07 class has more star power for sure guys...think we have more depth in this class. It is a good one. 07 was a great one.
Jan 19, 2015 at 9:51 AM - dressedcheeseside: Eric, you keep saying the staff is "working" on adding one more spot. Is there some graduated sr thinking about hanging them up, I'm still not sure what options the staff has at this point, 85 is 85. Maybe a walkon scholly taken back?
Jan 19, 2015 at 9:51 AM - Madison Grant: Does Brown have the same mobility as Shaq? Shaq pulling was a BIG part of our offense last year. Devine isn't fast enough and Braun doesn't block well enough to mimic that
Jan 19, 2015 at 9:52 AM - dressedcheeseside: I've been wondering about who wins RG, too?
Jan 19, 2015 at 9:53 AM - Eric: @Scott he is meeting with some of them soon.
Jan 19, 2015 at 9:53 AM - Eric: @Madison I am not sure if is as good as Shaq but Brown can move...which is why I think he wins that job.
Jan 19, 2015 at 9:54 AM - Minawreck: When it's all said and done 2007 class was 1-3 against UGA, and won 1 ACC title while going 0-4 in bowls. The 2012 class is already 1-2 against UGA with 1 double OT loss and 2-1 in bowls, and 0-2 in ACCCG. I think this class could easily surpass the accomplishments of the 2007 one.
Jan 19, 2015 at 9:54 AM - Minawreck: Considering most think the 2012 class was pretty weak.
Jan 19, 2015 at 9:55 AM - dressedcheeseside: One class does not make a team.
Jan 19, 2015 at 9:55 AM - Southpaw13: Justin Thomas' impact cannot be minimized. We are 8-4 this year at best W/O JT
Jan 19, 2015 at 9:56 AM - dressedcheeseside: You can't be sure of that. We may have beaten Duke and UNC with Byerly.
Jan 19, 2015 at 9:57 AM - BabyJacket1990: Byrely should get used more this season vs Duke. Their d lineman are big and do a great job coming off our blocks.
Jan 19, 2015 at 9:57 AM - Southpaw13: I love Byerly... I do... if JT were to get hurt, I wouldn't throw my hands up and say we are done because I know TB can run the offense and is very tough. But he's a stud.
Jan 19, 2015 at 9:58 AM - Eric: The whole Duke DL is gone lol
Jan 19, 2015 at 9:58 AM - Madison Grant: The UNC loss isn't on the offense at all. QB wouldn't have changed anything about that
Jan 19, 2015 at 9:58 AM - Southpaw13: ^ This
Jan 19, 2015 at 9:58 AM - BabyJacket1990: Heck yeah eric !
Jan 19, 2015 at 9:58 AM - dressedcheeseside: Duke was lost on JT's to's.
Jan 19, 2015 at 9:59 AM - Madison Grant: Duke is putting together a pretty damn solid 2015 class and off to an excellent 2016.
Jan 19, 2015 at 9:59 AM - dressedcheeseside: We won some games this year w/o JT heroics, too. He managed the game well which Byerly does, too.
Jan 19, 2015 at 10:00 AM - jeffgt14: Doesn't take seniors on the defensive line to know how to roll JT's ankle though.
Jan 19, 2015 at 10:00 AM - BabyJacket1990: It is a matter of time before cutcliffe goes back to the sec
Jan 19, 2015 at 10:01 AM - Southpaw13: i odn't know... he seems to really like it at Duke. He can leave a legacy at Duke that he can't at any SEC school (except perhaps Vandy)
Jan 19, 2015 at 10:01 AM - Minawreck: My point was not to say one class makes a team but rather for our fan base to get over the 2007 class. Let's assess this class on a basis more in line with the size strength, athleticism, and attitude, rather than attempt some impossible comarison
Jan 19, 2015 at 10:01 AM - dressedcheeseside: I love JT and he puts our O on a different plane and makes us 'sexy' to recruits and outside fans, but Byerly can win games.
Jan 19, 2015 at 10:01 AM - dcyellowjacket: QBing isn't just about heroics. JT ended the year running every aspect of the offense at a high level and is a threat that has to be accounted for on every play.
Jan 19, 2015 at 10:02 AM - dressedcheeseside: My point exactly.
Jan 19, 2015 at 10:02 AM - jeffgt14: I really don’t see how we are still having the Byerly/JT debate.
Jan 19, 2015 at 10:02 AM - Madison Grant: Can't believe, after the Miss State game, that we're having any discussion about who our QB is
Jan 19, 2015 at 10:02 AM - jeffgt14: Beat me too it^
Jan 19, 2015 at 10:02 AM - Southpaw13: the 'sexy' factor I think is something we don't account for enough. GT is a destination to legitimately consider because of what JT did in the OB. We get on the map because of what he did in the OB... from a 'sexy' perspective at least.
Jan 19, 2015 at 10:02 AM - dcyellowjacket: It's pretty bizarre, agreed.
Jan 19, 2015 at 10:03 AM - Southpaw13: TaDarryl Marshall is not even considering GT if Byerly is the QB... IMO.
Jan 19, 2015 at 10:03 AM - dressedcheeseside: I'm not saying TB should play over JT. I'm saying we'd still win with TB. There's a difference.
Jan 19, 2015 at 10:04 AM - BabyJacket1990: I'm ready for the season to start!
Jan 19, 2015 at 10:05 AM - jeffgt14: I wonder what style uniforms we'll wear next year.
Jan 19, 2015 at 10:05 AM - Southpaw13: I'm ready to get through NSD and get these boys on campus. This is a REALLY good class. We have difference makers all over the field in this class.
Jan 19, 2015 at 10:06 AM - Southpaw13: Philpott = BayBay 2.0... we have speed and size in our RB's... Will Bryan is going to be NASTY on the OL... some really good defensive players as well.
Jan 19, 2015 at 10:07 AM - BabyJacket1990: Southpaw- lets not put those high expectations just yet. He has the body type but I'm not sure his top end speed matches baybay
Jan 19, 2015 at 10:07 AM - jeffgt14: Eric, who is Marcus Marshall looking at besides us right now? I haven't heard of him looking at anyone past his visits to Wake and Vandy.
Jan 19, 2015 at 10:07 AM - BabyJacket1990: He's going to be a good one for sure.
Jan 19, 2015 at 10:08 AM - Southpaw13: I can't wait to get Lands-Davis on campus. I love his film.
Jan 19, 2015 at 10:08 AM - BabyJacket1990: How is Marshall being overlooked by North Carolina or any other schools ?
Jan 19, 2015 at 10:09 AM - GTHomer: Eric, thanks for keeping us informed. Have you heard anything about possible changes to the OV list for this upcoming weekend? Given we have no 'ships, I wonder if some may pass on the OV.
Jan 19, 2015 at 10:10 AM - Eric: @Jeff down to GT, Vandy, Wake and JMU.
Jan 19, 2015 at 10:10 AM - BabyJacket1990: So vad is recruiting him now lol?
Jan 19, 2015 at 10:11 AM - Eric: @Baby Nc State landed two 4* backs and UNC only took one back in this class.
Jan 19, 2015 at 10:12 AM - Eric: @GTHomer Was told the visit list this week will be "day to day"...Think they want Vic to come in on the 30th now....still expect Marshall to come in.
Jan 19, 2015 at 10:13 AM - jeffgt14: Seems silly Marshall wouldn't want to commit to us earlier with those being his only big time offers.
Jan 19, 2015 at 10:13 AM - BabyJacket1990: I'm predicting jackson,Vic,Marshall
Jan 19, 2015 at 10:13 AM - jeffgt14: I guess Vandy is a good offer.
Jan 19, 2015 at 10:14 AM - Eric: @Jeff he has never visited GT...not many kids are going to commit to a school they have never seen.
Jan 19, 2015 at 10:14 AM - dressedcheeseside: I thought UNC disbanded the African Studies program? ;)
Jan 19, 2015 at 10:15 AM - Eric: @baby we would have to see some decommits for that to happen
Jan 19, 2015 at 10:17 AM - jeffgt14: Yea, I guess I meant surprised he didn't try and move up his visit knowing we may be full by the time he comes.
Jan 19, 2015 at 10:17 AM - Southpaw13: Eric, does the staff have those meetings with the seniors before NSD?
Jan 19, 2015 at 10:18 AM - dressedcheeseside: he already said yes to that.
Jan 19, 2015 at 10:20 AM - dressedcheeseside: Les Miles just sends a kid a letter in the summer saying you no longer have a scholarship, thank you for your service, good day.
Jan 19, 2015 at 10:21 AM - BabyJacket1990: I suspect a few guys want be back next year. I have heard of two of them. The will leave us with 3?
Jan 19, 2015 at 10:23 AM - Southpaw13: If I were graduating... it would depend on whether I had a good job offer in a field I was interested in. If GTAA is paying for me to get credits toward my masters (which cover summer, fall and spring semesters), I'd stay if I was not compeltely burnt out on football. A fulll year closer to a masters degree from GT is nothing to brush off.
Jan 19, 2015 at 10:23 AM - dressedcheeseside: Here's a great article for you guys who think "greyshirting" is an ok thing. http://collegefootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2010/08/11/les-miles-defends-greyshirting/
Jan 19, 2015 at 10:28 AM - Southpaw13: So who wins the BB job? Leggett, Quaide or MLD
Jan 19, 2015 at 10:28 AM - Southpaw13: ... or wild card... Byerly? :D
Jan 19, 2015 at 10:28 AM - Enuratique: If I had to wager, I would say it is Leggett's to lose
Jan 19, 2015 at 10:31 AM - dressedcheeseside: I doubt Byerly moves over. The minute they do that, JT goes down.
Jan 19, 2015 at 10:33 AM - Southpaw13: He's a big strong kid with great knowledge of the offense... couldn't he take reps at both positions? I suppose it just depends on how much confidence the coaching staff has in CJ or Quaide this spring to get the job done. MLD would have to come in over the summer and just wow everyone to win the job.
Jan 19, 2015 at 10:35 AM - dressedcheeseside: The only way I see TB getting a sniff at Bback is if MJ beats him out at #2 qb. That prospect is highly unlikely, imo.
Jan 19, 2015 at 10:36 AM - BabyJacket1990: I don't like the idea of him playing bback
Jan 19, 2015 at 10:36 AM - BabyJacket1990: He is perfect right where he is
Jan 19, 2015 at 10:37 AM - daBuzz: CJ is front runner. Quaide will most likely be #2 and MLD #3, simply because Quaide is an early enrollee and will have the spring to learn the offense. Long term, they're different types of backs. Quaide is more power runner while MLD may have a bit more wiggle

Jan 19, 2015 at 10:52 AM - Southpaw13: I know we spend so much time talking about the offense here... but I am VERY excited about our defense next year. Especially if we can get JHD on the field to mix into the DT rotation. Our secondary is going to be as good and as deep a group as we've had in years.
Jan 19, 2015 at 10:52 AM - Southpaw13: I know Green had a great senior year, so did Nealy... but both can be replaced with what we have in house.
Jan 19, 2015 at 11:05 AM - BabyJacket1990: Southpaw- i don't see JHD being
Jan 19, 2015 at 11:05 AM - BabyJacket1990: Much of a factor at DT.
Jan 19, 2015 at 11:09 AM - GT_B: JHD is more aggressive than any DL player we had last year. He may not turn out to be awesome at DT as everyone is thinking, but he will definitly be an upgrade if he ends up playing.
Jan 19, 2015 at 11:11 AM - jeffgt14: I don’t care how much weight he puts on, I’d still rather see JH(D) at SDE.
Jan 19, 2015 at 11:15 AM - Southpaw13: Just having a big, strong senior with a high motor will be a plus. If he can even match what Green offered (plug holes, demand occasional double teams), it's a huge plus.
Jan 19, 2015 at 11:22 AM - BabyJacket1990: I can agree with southpaw, it's going to be tough for him. Never heard of a linebacker moving to DT. I don't get why
Jan 19, 2015 at 11:23 AM - BabyJacket1990: You see guys that can play multiple positions but LB to DT?? Time will tell
Jan 19, 2015 at 11:25 AM - CHE90: Shaq said Jabari was the toughest DT he faced all year.
Jan 19, 2015 at 11:26 AM - CHE90: I think he moved form LB to DT simply because he wasn't done growing.
Jan 19, 2015 at 11:26 AM - Southpaw13: That tells me a lot, and I remember that quote. I hope he can come in and help. With our schedule if we can play the way we did at the end of the year, sky is the limit.
Jan 19, 2015 at 11:27 AM - Southpaw13: Schedule is tough, but if we win... we'll get great press.
Jan 19, 2015 at 11:27 AM - redmule: Coleman Rudolph moved from OLB to DT.
Jan 19, 2015 at 11:28 AM - Southpaw13: I think 2016 may be our year to push for a playoff spot though
Jan 19, 2015 at 11:29 AM - DaddyBill: Nothing wrong with aiming for a CFP4 this fall. If we get through the '15 schedule GT should merit a slot
Jan 19, 2015 at 11:29 AM - Southpaw13: Boston College is our crossover game in 2016... they are on the upswing, but not the same as playing FSU
Jan 19, 2015 at 11:30 AM - Southpaw13: and we replace Notre Dame with Vandy... again not the same thing.
Jan 19, 2015 at 11:30 AM - Southpaw13: we get Clemson, Miami, and Duke at home in 2016
Jan 19, 2015 at 11:31 AM - DaddyBill: When will the '15 schedule be set in stone?
Jan 19, 2015 at 11:31 AM - Southpaw13: opponents are set... dates are not.
Jan 19, 2015 at 11:32 AM - Southpaw13: Home: FSU, UNC, Pitt, VT, UGA, Tulane, Alcorn St
Jan 19, 2015 at 11:32 AM - DaddyBill: I need to be making some plans
Jan 19, 2015 at 11:32 AM - Southpaw13: Away: Notre Dame, Clemson. Duke, Miami, UVa
Jan 19, 2015 at 11:32 AM - BabyJacket1990: I just hope we can get to double digits wins. Beat UGA and win the bowl game
Jan 19, 2015 at 11:33 AM - Southpaw13: I hope we can go 3-2 or better out of those 5 road games... 5-2 or better at home. beating UGA or FSU would obviously be big, but we can't expect that it's a given, just know it's a possibility.
Jan 19, 2015 at 11:34 AM - Southpaw13: So 8-4 floor for the season, hopefully a bit better.
Jan 19, 2015 at 11:34 AM - BabyJacket1990: historically we have not been consistent after having a good season.
Jan 19, 2015 at 11:34 AM - Southpaw13: I think having a healthy JT gives us a chance in any game we play.
Jan 19, 2015 at 11:35 AM - Southpaw13: Obviously a lot of change in the skill positions next year.
Jan 19, 2015 at 11:35 AM - BabyJacket1990: I'm sure a lot our games will be dog fights to the end. Hopefully JT can make some great plays late.
Jan 19, 2015 at 11:36 AM - BabyJacket1990: I don't see 2016 being *playoff year* we're going to lose a ton after this season.
Jan 19, 2015 at 11:36 AM - Southpaw13: realistically, we could have lost the GA Southern game without a break, UGA, VT... all 3 of those came down to the wire and we got a big play late to win. UNC went the other way.
Jan 19, 2015 at 11:36 AM - Southpaw13: So out of 4 games that were won or lost in the final minute, we won 3 of 4.
Jan 19, 2015 at 11:36 AM - BabyJacket1990: If the QB for clemson doesn't go down, we may have lost that one to
Jan 19, 2015 at 11:37 AM - Southpaw13: That's true, never know what would have happened if Watson plays.
Jan 19, 2015 at 11:37 AM - BabyJacket1990: If Gurley was healthy we don't win that game neither
Jan 19, 2015 at 11:37 AM - Southpaw13: Who knows... that's also a possibility.
Jan 19, 2015 at 11:37 AM - BabyJacket1990: I like to play the Devils advocate role sometimes.
Jan 19, 2015 at 11:38 AM - DaddyBill: Then again, what might have happened if GT had Snoddy and Smelter vs. F$U?
Jan 19, 2015 at 11:38 AM - BabyJacket1990: Some posters hate me for it but it's only the truth
Jan 19, 2015 at 11:38 AM - Southpaw13: I think we may have won if we had Smelter
Jan 19, 2015 at 11:38 AM - BabyJacket1990: I think we beat FSU with smelter to
Jan 19, 2015 at 11:39 AM - BabyJacket1990: It's going to be a fun year though. I'm excited for sure!
Jan 19, 2015 at 11:39 AM - Southpaw13: I loved that game... maybe the most proud i've ever been after a loss.
Jan 19, 2015 at 11:39 AM - DaddyBill: I am excited as well BabyJacket
Jan 19, 2015 at 11:40 AM - BabyJacket1990: It could be defining year for johnson.
Jan 19, 2015 at 11:41 AM - BabyJacket1990: If we can get to double digits and finish like we did this year. The future will be bright for atleast 3-4 years
Jan 19, 2015 at 11:41 AM - Eric: you can play that role both sides...we could have beat VT or uga several times if things went certain ways.
Jan 19, 2015 at 11:41 AM - DaddyBill: Hiya Eric
Jan 19, 2015 at 11:41 AM - Southpaw13: We've been on the wrong end of a LOT of those close games in Johnson's tenure... this year was nice to even some of those out.
Jan 19, 2015 at 11:42 AM - Eric: hello buddy.
Jan 19, 2015 at 11:42 AM - BabyJacket1990: Exactly southpaw.i see your point eric but it didn't go our way.
Jan 19, 2015 at 11:43 AM - DaddyBill: Tre' says ML-D had a great time during his visit
Jan 19, 2015 at 11:43 AM - BabyJacket1990: At the end of the day we lost. This year we happen to catch some breaks
Jan 19, 2015 at 11:43 AM - Eric: Exactly there is no changing what happens on gameday...at the end of the day we won those games this year. No use in playing what the if card.
Jan 19, 2015 at 11:44 AM - Southpaw13: Go back years... the late hit in the 4th Q on michael johnson agianst VT? Blowing a 14 pt lead against Miami at home 3 years ago... losing the bowl game to Utah with a 14 pt 4Q lead... not finishing the UGA game a year ago.
Jan 19, 2015 at 11:44 AM - Southpaw13: this year was so special because we WON those kind of games late.
Jan 19, 2015 at 11:44 AM - DaddyBill: Southpaw....winning at the end is the mark of a good, no, a great team
Jan 19, 2015 at 11:45 AM - BabyJacket1990: It's amazing what a quick/smart QB can do for your team.
Jan 19, 2015 at 11:47 AM - BabyJacket1990: all we need now is for a new fashion design for jerseys lmAo
Jan 19, 2015 at 11:49 AM - BabyJacket1990: How's lowndes county football been lately ? Are they tired of rush propst yet?
Jan 19, 2015 at 11:49 AM - BabyJacket1990: @DaddyBill
Jan 19, 2015 at 12:03 PM - Southpaw13: Does anyone know what positions the redshirt freshmen linemen play specifically? I know Brown is looking to fill Mason's spot at RG... where is everyone else working in?
Jan 19, 2015 at 12:11 PM - Southpaw13: ...
Jan 19, 2015 at 12:18 PM - Eric: Klock, Stickler, Preddy T...Whitley, Brown G
Jan 19, 2015 at 12:22 PM - Southpaw13: Thanks
Jan 19, 2015 at 12:26 PM - Tech93: Pretty sure Lowndes did not make playoffs this year. They just hired a new D coordinator last week and an O coordinator a couple of weeks ago. Head coach used to call the plays. So I guess they are trying to beef up for Propst. I played for Valdosta High in the 80's under Nick Hyder, so try to keep my eye on the Valdosta Wildcats.
Jan 19, 2015 at 1:25 PM - AE 87: Eric, could you ask your buddy on the staff whether we changed how we called in D plays after UNC?
Jan 19, 2015 at 1:27 PM - BabyJacket1990: We didn't AE87. We created turnovers.

Jan 19, 2015 at 1:29 PM - BabyJacket1990: If our defense didn't create turnovers we lost. The games where we had two more turnovers we won.
Jan 19, 2015 at 1:35 PM - Eric: I will ask AE.
Jan 19, 2015 at 1:36 PM - Eric: I think you're reading what he wrote wrong @babyjacket
Jan 19, 2015 at 1:36 PM - AE 87: tks E
Jan 19, 2015 at 1:37 PM - Eric: "We did not change anything... Maybe simplified some but nothing drastic"
Jan 19, 2015 at 1:38 PM - AE 87: does that include the signals themselves?
Jan 19, 2015 at 1:41 PM - Eric: Do you mean as in they were stealing signals AE?
Jan 19, 2015 at 1:49 PM - AE 87: yeah, were our signals being ripped in first part of season
Jan 19, 2015 at 2:03 PM - Eric: @AE "no they werent stealing signals. they were just whipping us"
Jan 19, 2015 at 2:08 PM - AE 87: ok
Jan 19, 2015 at 2:12 PM - AE 87: that's not good news, imo. I'm less optimistic about our D now
Jan 19, 2015 at 2:12 PM - Eric: My friend is on the offensive side FWIW.
Jan 19, 2015 at 2:13 PM - GuleJakke: Heard at a party up in here in Iowa recently that in the 2009 Orange Bowl, the DC had figured out some tells from studying our OL. Has anyone heard this before?
Jan 19, 2015 at 2:14 PM - Eric: I think Norm Parker did.
Jan 19, 2015 at 2:14 PM - GuleJakke: Yes, that's who the guy was talking about
Jan 19, 2015 at 2:15 PM - GuleJakke: I had just never heard that before, even from other well connected Iowa fans up here
Jan 19, 2015 at 2:15 PM - Eric: Yeah someone on our staff suspected that. Dont know if they ever confirmed it or not.
Jan 19, 2015 at 3:14 PM - GTRanj: don't know if this has been asked already, but if this is another sub par season for CBG, will that be the end of him? BTW I'd like to add that I think CBG is a good person from what I've seen for him, just not getting it done here. thanks
Jan 19, 2015 at 3:52 PM - DaddyBill: sorry I had to do some yard work soI was away for a bit....Lowndes High football did not even make the playoffs last year....went 1-4 in the region and Camden Co went 0-5. Yes, we were all hoping Rush would be gone from Moultrie after winning it all last season
Jan 19, 2015 at 3:53 PM - DaddyBill: Just saw on ESecPN that UNC has hired Gene Chizik as the Heel's new defensive coordinator
Jan 19, 2015 at 4:14 PM - danny daniel: We will have 5 QBs in the Spring and hopefully 7 in the Fall. Any likelyhood Swilling moves to BB or a (blocking) AB? He has the "tough" and I like Martensen's QB skills.
