Just out of curiosity, does anyone know where we ranked for the 2013 season on total 3 and outs? I checked cfbstats.com but could only find the top10 and bottom10.

cfbstats releases the stats for each game each week including drive information which includes # of plays. You can download the data and see if you can figure it out but I don't know a site that provides the stat and ranking.

I'm only curious in comparison to other seasons as well. We may not have... But it seemed that we had more 3 and outs this past season than prior seasons. I'm only curious.

Ah...I see. I don't think I've seen a list with that stat in it.

I can't think of a good way to estimate it using cfbstat.com's already compiled rankings. The answer seems to be to determine it from the play-by-play data.

Yeah, cfbstats download gives enough info to calculate it, but it's not straight forward.
