If I could get by without any repercussions I would! Have to do what you have to do, even when it sucks sometimes.

Hoping I might be able to make at least part of the game, but to do that, I need a nooner.

My roommate, and high school classmate, was getting married to my eventual wife's roomate on a Saturday home game on Grant Field, and we had introduced them to each other. We thought we had time to finish watching the game which was close to the end, but we got caught in traffic and drove up to the church just as they were coming out. Sadly, our relationship with them was never the same again. I don't recommend you skipping it as someone jokingly suggested.

Looking at possible options remaining on the tv side, ESPN is going with an ABC SEC Triple header so the best case is to be on ESPN. Best ACC games that week are Miami @ GT and Clemson @ VT. I could see one getting the 7PM ESPN slot and the other getting noon or 3:30. All other ACC games (Virginia @ Pitt, Syracuse @ BC, and Duke @ NC State will probably be relegated to ACCN and the CW.

My niece got married in Orlando on a GT game day. At the reception, they had a TV in one corner so that all the Alabama fans (including, at times , the groom) could watch their game. After the Bama game ended, they kindly switched the TV over to GT vs. FSU so that my wife and I (plus a bunch of cocky FSU goons) could watch our game.

The date, you ask? Oct 24, 2015. At least I got to see that ending, even if I didn't get to be there in person.

Flash forward to Sep 12, 2020: home game against FSU. I texted my niece and told her that she and her husband needed to renew their vows that day. They did, and we won again. 👍

FWIW Kelly Quinlan is guessing we get ACCN at 8pm.

A Big Boi show at 9:30am would be pretty funny. I'm personally rooting for the 8pm kick. Bobby Dodd has historically been a madhouse under those conditions (Top 5 opponent, night game, plus throw in a pregame Outkast show at HBP). I know we're not playing for much more than a bowl game against some Sun Belt opponent, but it would be undeniably a pretty fun evening, at least while the game remains competitive. Even though we lost the Georgia game last year, you have to admit it was a pretty intense environment and people were locked in and hanging on every play. It's the only time I've seen Bobby Dodd Stadium stand the entire game.
