Well, just remind Central Florida fans and grads... going back to the 1970s when it was called "Florida Technological University" or FTU, it has always been a commuter school known as "Mickey Mouse University" and always will be... whose graduates apply their "degrees" in careers as "cast members" at Disney World. Their engineering degrees qualify them for closing the restraining bars on sunburnt tourists and announcing they need to stay seated and keep their arms within the vehicles before commencing their Space Mountain ride experience. The rest follow the horse carriages on Main Street with a broom and waste can.

Yeah, they make less on average coming out of UCF than they would if they had just been a shelf stock-person at Lowes. They are getting a crap degree that is just keeping them in debt for years.

Who honestly cares what UCF’s academic national rankings are? Or what conference they’re in? Or what their average salary is post-graduation? Or how many undergrads they have? Their football team beat Georgia Tech’s today. Their academic ranking, conference affiliation, post-grad salary, or student population had nothing to do with the final score of the game that was played today. Are their fans annoying and obnoxious? Yes. So there’s no reason to engage with them on social media. But Tech gets another chance at them in 2022. A year that Tech should be much closer to the top of the ACC, and much better than UCF. Wait until then. UCF was the better team today. I’ve got confidence that won’t be the case in 2022.
