[QUOTE="daBuzz, post: 226825, member: 56"] Tell them to put their iPhones down, get off Instagram and go watch the latest ESPN 30-for-30 special on the Orlando Magic. It was about Shaq, Penny Hardaway and Dennis and their run in Orlando. Also, check the records for most 3 pointers in a season...he's still in the top 5, although Klay Thompson and Steph Curry keep moving him farther down the list and I'm sure he'll move out within a year the way those two are going. But, enough about Dennis...maybe the kids you teach will know who a guy named Calvin Johnson is. Or perhaps Demaryius Thomas if he is able to come to a game when his team isn't playing. Or Morgan Burnett. Or Mark Texiera. Or Jason Varitek. I do not hang around football players but I do coach baseball players and had the privilege of having 14 of the 21 players on my team this past season sign college scholarships. (And that # may go to 15 because one of my former players threw a gem for Harrison High School last night in the Elite 8 of AAAAAA playoffs with Valdosta State, KSU, Jacksonville State, and Furman scouts there to watch him.) I know Will's dad said those guys wouldn't be impressed by former players but my baseball players are. I talked to some of them yesterday and asked that question and one of them (one who has already signed to play in college, btw) said, "If I was at a Tech game and Megatron was there, I'd probably commit on the spot if offered, just so I could hopefully go shake his hand."
