Freshman QBs at Tech

I thought about Reggie Ball after yesterday and found this article:

I have always felt that Reggie got a bum rap from a lot of fans. He needed better coaching and he could have been a very good one.

I think Reggie would have benefitted tremendously from some better QB coaching, as well. I was hard on Reggie many times while he was playing for us. But looking back on it I think I was doing him a disservice because it's pretty clear that the play calling wasn't very good and neither was his QB coach. While I liked Pat Nix personally the times I got to meet him he clearly wasn't a good coach and his record since then bears that out. And Reggie sure seems to love his alma mater and that makes me an even bigger fan of his.
